The magnificent stone hearth is home to a wood fireplace, keeping everybody cozy after a day of skiing.
While you may feel secluded up in the mountains here, Durango's dining and entertainment is only a few miles away. Purgatory's ski slopes are an easy day trip, so this cabin makes a great home base for winter sports. The trailhead for the Colorado Trail is just a mile away, so pack your hiking boots.
Natural light floods the beautifully furnished living room, and a full kitchen sets the scene for meals in. The dining table seats six, and four more can sit at the breakfast bar. Up to six guests can stay in this beautifully outfitted cabin, and four can sleep comfortably in the two bedrooms. A private washer and dryer are provided for all your laundry needs. Free WiFi keeps you connected, but don't spend too much time working! Heads up: 4x4 driving may be required here during the winter.

The house and property itself is lovely. It is well-equipped and the views are gorgeous. That being said, the maintenance could use some work. The master bathroom shower did not drain well, the ceiling had some little bugs all over it (some dead, some alive), and the guest mattress was awful. It sunk to the middle and needs to be replaced. All that said, the place itself couldn’t be nicer and we would consider staying here again if in the area.

The view is beautiful, quiet and comfortable. The kitchen is large and while we didn’t cook it would have accommodated cooking very well. The water pressure for showers was also very good. There is a great wrap around deck with a beautiful view of a private lake.

Great place. Plenty of problems with entry, broken window closers, warped windows (allowed wasps to enter!!!!!!). Entry code did not work. Pass key lock box was closed with the correct code so I just pressed the button down and there was the key. I am sure the owner would not be happy with that information. Anyone could have walked in. Thermostats not working and house quite cold at night. Called Vantaca and they reported it, I received a call from service tech and said they would be out next day and both the unlock code and thermostats. Never came.
