quiet and secluded with comfortable rooms

large room and bathroom, everything was extremely clean. the property itself is secluded and even has an adorable pony and cats to pet. it's close to Merlin's tomb which we walked to. our host made sure we had a map of the area and gave us great recommendations for hiking. the attention to detail with the breakfast was very appreciated, everything was local and delicious.

the doorknob for the main entrance doesn't open easily so we felt like we had disturbed the host when we arrived, thought it was locked, and went to look for them. inclined ceilings in the room are not great for tall people

Beautiful area, lovely place to stay and wonderful hosts!

We loved everything about our stay at Les Bouyeres! The house and grounds are so beautiful and our room was so charming, cozy and well appointed. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. But the most wonderful aspect of our stay was the incredibly warm and friendly hosts! They were so kind and lovely and we look forward to coming back to see them again some day! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Exceptional

Les Bouyeres provide a pretty, cozy, comfortable, quiet, clean home away from home. Easy access to the fast road to Rennes. The hosts are delightful and eager to make their guests happy. Bonus: located in the heart of la forêt de Broceliande, less than 1 km away from the Tomb of Merlin and within minutes of the birthplace of the Lady of the Lake. A truly enchanted place!

An excellent get-away spot and I really enjoyed my visit

A remote property (extremely quiet and peaceful) but not too far from a delight village with good restaurants. The view across a field from the veranda outside my room was delightful. The bathroom was particularly well appointed with a large wet room style shower plus a large jacuzzi style bath.

I had a 2-night stay at Les Bruyeres a d had a exceptional experience. The location is really nice, in a calm setting close to the forest. The hosts were very kind and the bedroom was superb.

Exceptional

A great nature getaway. Located perfectly in a little village, with a beautiful scenery and plenty of walking paths to go on. Breakfast was very good with fresh bread and pastries, homemade cake, handmade yoghurt and freshly squeezed orange juice and a hot drink of your choice. The room was very spacious, a comfortable bed and plenty of pillows. The Merlin Room came with both a standing shower and a good sized bathtub/hot tub. Also a private patio all to yourself! Valerie and her husband were also extremely kind and helpful, happy to answer any queries about the surrounding area.

Passable

The hosts are pleasant couple. They have two horses, a lovely dog and a cat. When you go to near forest in the morning, birds are singing nicely.

The local tales about Merlin seem more like a tourist scam and the places to visit are poor, boring, "invented" just to attract tourists to visit what is otherwise dull cattle, farming countryside. It is really nothing to see around there. The Arthurian legends would suit much more to Huelgoat and its surroundings. The room itself was quite small, wooden tiles are making squeaking noises, the same with shower making creepy noise. Windows are small, it was a roof room. I imagine there will be extremely hot later in summer with no climatisation unit.

When you want to feel at home not at a hotel

The owners of the place greeted us as friends, not guests. We chatted nicely, learned about places to see in the area and even met their grandson, and when we left we were given a bottle of local cider. - Incredible place near iconic places in the woods - Lovely French breakfast with homemade yoghurt and croissants in the company of other guests - Charming patio with a panoramic view - Clean and bright comfortable room with everything you need for a comfortable stay

It's a pity we only stayed two nights.

One of the best gites we had in this trip - the bed was comfortable, the bathroom a good size and good shower. Very, very clean. The breakfast was included in the price and it was delicious and fresh. It is closed to the forest of Broceliande and good for walking. The host were very nice.

This was by far the best stay I have ever had in France. And the best bed and breakfast experience I have had in all my travels. This is an exceptional bed and breakfast experience on every level. Besides the property and accommodations being very clear and beautiful and warm and cozy, the hosts were exceptionally welcoming, kind and caring. I can not rave more about this bed and breakfast! 18h00 est la première proposition pour l'arrivée sur le lieu. Nous avons demandé d'arriver plus tôt et cela a été accepté sans difficulté.

Rustige omgeving, met uiterst vriendelijke eigenaars. De ruime kamer was voorzien van alle comfort (wattenschijfjes, wattenstaafjes, make-up verwijderaar en al). Op de koop toe een mooi ontbijt met versgemaakte cake en yoghurt!

Cadre exceptionnel en pleine nature. Accueil super agréable par des hôtes d'une gentillesse appréciable. La chambre et la literie très confortables. Petit déjeuner exceptionnel avec des produits de qualité et gâteau fait maison. De plus grande cuisine à disposition et superbe terrasse avec vue sur la campagne. Adresse que je recommande fortement pour une escapade en Broceliande.

Accueil très sympathique par la propriétaire, grande maison dans les champs bordant la forêt de Brocéliande. La chambre est grande , décorée avec beaucoup de goût dans les tons taupe et crème, mélange pierre et bois, tout est bien pensé dans les moindres détails et la salle de bain avec double vasque est du même acabit 👌Très bon petit-déjeuner servi par le propriétaire très sympa, qui fait lui-même les travaux de sa maison et fan d’automobiles sportives 😉

Nous avons reçu un merveilleux accueil pour notre famille, notre séjour était bref mais nous a apporté le repos et la sérénité dont nous avions besoin. Petit déjeuner fabuleux avec une gamme de thé et de chocolats chaud impressionnant. Magnifique décoration, environnementale paisible. Un grand merci pour votre accueil.
