Would never stay here again

The cottage was far from clean. I had to clean the shower before using it. Toaster was full of old bread crumbs. Towel edges were frayed and bath mat was old and hard. Disgusting and disappointing for what was charged 🥲

Lovely place near Boyle

Lovely place. Near a road, bit surrounded by trees and greens. Loads of birds. Comfy beds and everything we needed in the kitchen and bathroom.

The tv sometimes had no signal and internet can be a bit of a problem. The hostess was kind enough to help me out though, when I needed it.

Beautiful traditional cottage with modern facilities.

The location and style of the building was exactly what we wanted. We were researching my partners family history and it felt like the sort of cottage his family would have lived in (although updated to 21st century living!!). These old houses have a few quirks but it was well equipped and very clean. The host was so helpful and introduced us to neighbours who had family connections with my partner so we were able to fill in more of the puzzle.

It’s location, it was so peaceful 🙂 surrounded by nature, I loved that you could see the original stone walls on the exterior and inside was done to such a high standard.

Very spacious and comfortable, lots to see and do within an hour of the location.

The nearest shops/bar/restaurants are approximately 10km in Boyle. Mobile reception is very poor and there's no WiFi.

cosy, clean and a good base for where we wanted to see.

didn’t dislike anything, suggestions would be more pillows, firelighters and a lighter to light the fire (although I’m sure if I’d asked Trish she would have supplied these). with having kids, and the shop being quite far, a welcome pack is always a good idea to save having to venture out again when you’re not sure if there is a shop near.

Fabulous place had everything we needed , peaceful and quiet the two boys loved it and far enough off the road not to be worried if they run out the door. Great base to explore all the local area has to offer.

Relaxing break in exciting part of Ireland

The cottage is comfortable and very clean, has everything you need for self catering holiday and is very private. The surrounding area is full of surprises and things to do and there is such peace at night time you can relax and get a great sleep. The land lady is very friendly and accommodating and left a starter pack for the fire and offered to use her dryer if we needed to dry our clothes after the rain.

A very comfortable cottage with all new and up to date facilities with everything you need available for your stay. Located in a nice area and the hosts were very helpful throughout our time there. It was at a good price as well compared to other properties in the area. I would recommend this cottage to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in this part of Roscommon.

Overall very good value for money!

The place was lovely and spotless clean. Hosts were helpful and made our stay very enjoyable. Location is great, close to the lakes, however a bit far away from the shop so better be prepared with the food supply :) Beautiful quiet place surrounded by trees where you can relax.

There was an issue with the shower which need to be fixed.

Lovely cottage, nice spacious rooms and good location. Close to lough key forest Park.

There was a lack of good knives and cooking utensils. When we turned the fan in kitchen on there was a smell of smoke and turf in the sitting room.

Idyllic cottage and excellent base

Gorgeous, renovated cottage oozing with character & an ideal location to explore nearby Lough Key, Boyle and neighbouring counties of Sligo and Leitrim. The house is very comfortable and Trish is a wonderful, friendly host on hand if anything is needed. We are really looking forward to returning as we have so many more places to explore in the area. Great short break location

The cottage was so clean and had everything we needed for a few days break. The setting was lovely. Very close to Lough Key Forest park where we had a wonderful time. Trish and Kieran both really helpful.

Superb

The location is a peaceful country lane. It's nice to have a full kitchen and be able to cook your meals.

It took a while to get the house warm enough that it was comfortable. But once we figured out how to work the stove it got nice and toasty.
