Naxos Island Escape Suites

The host, Marios, was exceptional and always had a smile on his face. He attended to all details, large and small, to make our trip very pleasant. He arranged a taxi to meet us at the ferry to get us to the property. Upon arrival, he showed all the places to visit near the property (beaches, restaurants, bus stop, etc.) and things to see in the town of Naxos, all done while providing a refreshing glass of wine! Every morning he served a full, tasty breakfast including juice, coffee/tea, bread/butter/jam, sliced fruit, savory pastry, ham/cheese toast, and eggs any way you like. He provided beach towels when needed, and the rooms were cleaned daily. For our departure, he reserved a taxi for the airport for our late departure. Because of that, he held our bags while we enjoyed our last day on the beach. At checkout, he wished us a safe journey by providing us all with "shots" of fortified wine, and then gifted us a bottle of Greek wine. Literally, Marios went above and beyond what is generally expected of a host.

Nothing. Other reviews complain that it's too far from town, and it is - but that is a plus, in my opinion. Others complained about the bus being too far - it's only a 10 min walk from the property, and the bus takes you right into town. Being the last stop on the route, you have no issues about getting on. The bus runs every 1/2 hour +/- 10 mins.

When we were re adding the reviews before making our choice for accommodations, every single one was talking about what a great host Marios was. We thought those reviews were fake/forced. Until we got there and met Marios! He truly is not only an amazing host, but a genuinely kind and caring (and funny) person! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - the room (which we got upgraded to) was beautiful, modern, yet - traditional and functional, with everything you need. We loved the location - a couple minutes of walking and you are on the beach, which was very quiet and not crowded, somewhat remote from the loud/busy Chora and Anna, yet - a very short 5-15 min drive to get to all the restaurants and old town attractions. It was also centrally located for exploring the beaches to the south and the mountains. We appreciated having BG breakfast and coffee in the morning before heading out for exploration.

My only suggestion would be to provide coffee in the rooms, as breakfast doesn’t start until 8:30.

Wir haben 4 wunderschöne Tage in Plaka verbracht. Wir hatten die Sunken Suite gebucht. Die Suite war wunderschön mit einer sehr hochwertigen Einrichtung. Die Dusche ist sehr großzügig und im Zimmer ist ausreichend Platz. Leider hatte die Suite keine eigene Terrasse wie in den Buchungsdetails angegeben. Aber es konnte eine Gemeinschaftsterrasse im anderen Stockwerk genutzt werden. Die Sunken Suite ist auf jeden Fall sehr zu empfehlen für Personen, die keinen Wert auf eine Terrasse legen. Es wurde täglich super sauber geputzt, Shampoo und Duschgel wurde immer wieder erneuert und Handtücher wurden täglich gewechselt. Marios ist ein super netter Gastgeber und hat immer einen lockeren Spruch auf den Lippen. Er versteht seinen Job und weiß genau auf was es ankommt. Hier wird aufs Detail geachtet, wie z.B. frisch gewaschene Stofftischdecken beim Frühstück oder Knabbereien zum Bier oder Cocktail. Das Frühstück ist extrem lecker. Es gibt Kaffee, frisch gepressten Orangensaft, griechisches Joghurt, Früchte, Marmelade, Honig, Brot, frisches Gebäck (herzhaft und süß), usw. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt und können die Unterkunft zu 100% weiter empfehlen.
