Ideal place and beautiful hosts!

Location of the apartment is great! The apartment itself is beautiful! The hosts, Elizabeth and Martin are extremely hospitable, polite and helpful. They make you feel at home at any time of the day. Parking at the courtyard of the apartment is an asset. The hosts gave us extremely helpful pointers on Orleans highlights, they suggested a great restaurant for our dinner and helped us immensely with correct and precise information in our effort to find our way back to Orly airport to return our rented vehicle. Overall a great experience in staying at Le Nid Bord de la Loire where we had the opportunity of meeting two beautiful people, our hosts!

Absolutely outstanding!

This apartment was outstanding! We had booked just for one night but wished we could have stayed longer. I cannot think of anything that the hosts hadn't already thought of - our room had everything and more that we could have wanted. Very very comfortable and just beautifully done. Lovely friendly people who were eager to draw maps, recommend places and accomodate our late arrival. Very secure parking for our car so we were able to leave most of our luggage in it.

The property is spotlessly clean with plenty of room for ourselves and our dog. The host left some treats in the fridge for us which was a nice touch. The secure parking is such a bonus as is the dog friendly policy. The location is so close to the city just a short walk across the bridge in fact. The host is so helpful and friendly and she responds very quickly to any messages or questions.

Delightful Hosts, Delightful Stay

The room was great, and right on the ground floor. Everything modern and simple (in a good way). The parking spot itself is amazing in regards to being right next to the building, but the entrance is a bit tricky, if you're not prepared. Though, the hosts guide you on in and out with ease. And speaking of the hosts - They are delightful. Very friendly, very helpful.

Our studio room was very well kitted out with coffee/ tea making facilities and more food making facilities should they be required. Very cool and modern decor. Lots of clothes hanging space. Very quiet location which facilitated a good night's sleep. Elizabeth was extremely welcoming and a superb host. Would recommend the location also for proximity to the city.

The shower pressure was a bit low but didn't have a huge impact on our stay, Toilet/shower room was very spacious.

A wonderful place close to the city center

What an fantastic experience! Martin and Elizabeth are amazing hosts. Their welcome made us feel immediately at home. They gave us all necessary information to enjoy the city who was a stone's throw away . The room itself was great. Spotless, spacious with all the amenities you might need while been away from home. Tastefully decorated, very comfortable bed, spacious bathroom and shower and a fully equipped kitchenette. Very safe parking spot at the house's inner garden. Everything was perfect and we are looking forward to visiting this place again in the future. Mille merci Martin & Elizabeth.

Floor boards were so creeky that we didn’t like to move around in the room much. Especially early in the morning. Antiquated room. Stains on bed linen and strange smell in room. Also hosts never lock the main front door which feels a bit in secure.

The location was perfect. Only a 400 m from the center and the car savely parked in the own courdyard behind a fence. There was a hospitable welcome and the appartment is verry beautiful, atmospheric and clean. There is also the possibility to sit on the quiet terrace.

Absolutely superb - fantastic room and hosts

Staying at le Nid Bord de la Loire was a fantastic experience from start to finish, possibly most of all because of the lovely hosts. Though our visit to Orleans was only for one night, we received a warm and attentive welcome. They made sure we were settled in the accommodation but also gave us some fantastic tips on what to see in Orleans, its history and where to eat and drink in the evening. Hearing about their travels around the world and their knowledgable advice on the Loire Valley, was a real pleasure. We stayed in a modern, spacious and stylish room in a historic gated courtyard. It was quiet and comfortable, with everything that we needed. The hosts arranged some really nice touches, including some complimentary refreshments. The property is a beautiful five minutes walk over the bridge from the historic centre of Orleans - convenient to all of the sights, eating and drinking, but nicely off the tourist trail. My wife and I have travelled a great deal all over the world, staying in a huge variety of places. We both agreed that this property and its wonderful hosts gave us one of the best experiences we have ever had on our travels!

Exceeds expectations - comfort & extensive facilities for a very decent price

Exceeded expectations in every way as we got a perfect room with comfortable bed and many facilities - kitchenette, private parking space, cosy terrace, filled minibar, ... - for a small price. Quiet location off the street. Ideal for a stop-over on our way to the South of France as it has parking and it's located outside of the car-free city centre however very close for a visit on foot.
