The Boat House

Lovely little boat house. Stunning views from the balcony looking out over the lake. Loved being able to sit out to have breakfast and in the evenings for a drink. Had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. The welcome book was very helpful. A little walk to the train station but bikes provided cut down this time and were a great option for cycling around the lake. Could walk to the ferry and Harder Kulm funicular stations easily.

Shower was a little on the small side but was warm and powerful. Would recommend getting a taxi from station to the boat house with cases as we struggled a little in the heat (we were there during a heat wave). We used the taxi service recommended in the welcome book to get a taxi back to the station on our last day and this worked perfectly.

This has to be our best stay yet! ❤️ We had a wonderful time here. And we will definitely come back. The location is perfect. Situated on the river front, beautiful view of the bridge with train passing every hour, the turquoise Aare river, the mountains in the background and the ducks quacking. We had the entire small chalet to ourselves! It had a nice balcony where we had breakfast, a porch downstairs to have a nice view when it's raining - there was a small tub as well there (?) would have been nice in summer I suppose. There was also a kayak, two bicycles available for use. The room was very bright and waking up in the morning has been a treat. We had everything we needed as well - all cooking utensils, cleaning things, washing machines and dryers, pamplets for sightseeing, Interlaken Guest Card, ironing board, toiletries, everything. The host Juliet was also very nice! Easy check-in and check-out process. Easy to find the house based on the instructions. Everything went smoothly.
