From start to finish our stay at Convento San Payo was amazing. Fantastic property, restored with great care. View to die for, looking out across into Galacia. Well worth the climb. Most importantly, amazing hosts in Joao/Agata. Our group of 8 were very well looked after for our stay, and would love to return. Highly recommend.

Luis, the manager is a hard working, professional person who seems to keep the place running. The rooms are clean and spacious and the view from anywhere on the property is beautiful.
It is sad to see the building, gardens and museum that are falling apart, the whole property seems to be uncared for by the owners, despite Luis doing his best to keep all the guests happy. It seemed this place was stuck somewhere between a self catering accommodation and a hotel, and has no real sense of identity.
