Hotel Boutique Berazadi Berri

Everything was above and beyond our expectations. In particular, we would like to compliment that staff, notably Maria, Leo and Ryan. We are English speaking, with No Spanish vocabulary, so the staff were all extremely patient and helpful in understanding our requests and requirements in terms of translations. In the rooms - the beds and especially the pillows were luxurious and so soft and comfortable - it was easy to get a good night's sleep. The bathrooms (we stayed in three different rooms during our trip) were spacious with glorious hot water and strong pressure guaranteeing a relaxing shower or bath. The bath in room 201 provided amazing views down into the distant bay, whilst lying back relaxing. Breakfasts were amazing with an incredible selection of fresh tropical fruits, freshly squeezed orange juice, a wide array of pastries and broad offering of local mains - eggs, sausage, bacon etc - enough to satisfy the largest appetite. Dinner was exceptional too - with a wide selection of local produce starters, mains and desserts. The restaurant definitely requires a reservation for dinner, as it was fully booked most nights with many locals coming up the hill to enjoy the delicious fare. For the fit-minded individuals, there are a number of lovely walks/trails that can be enjoyed from the hotel - either down through some local vineyards or down to some old fortification ruins on the cliff-side. A nice trail runs from the hotel past the campsite, down to the main beach/promenade, where you can either swim, surf or stroll along. The beach was spotlessly clean, not a speck of litter in sight. The sea was warm ( no need for a wetsuit) and crystal clear with nice surf.

We were quite anxious as we had arrived late on our flight to Biarritz and the hire car collection was delayed - we tried to phone the hotel to explain that we would probably miss the 10:00pm closure - but our calls were not answered except by an answering machine that advised 'office hours'. I had also previously sent an email to the hotel's 'Contact us', indicating that we may potentially arrive late - but did not get a response. Thankfully, when we did arrive, our room keys were available and we were advised that we could complete our check-in the following morning.

Lovely boutique hotel. Unique design. Stunning location for the view. Great meal and they saved us a perfect table on the night of the eclipse as we were residents even though the restaurant was packed.

We were not made aware when we booked that the restaurant and bar would only be open on Friday and Saturday during our stay. There was no where to get a snack or a drink during the day / evening .
