Not my cup of tea. I wouldn’t stay there again.

Host was friendly.

At first I had to move into another place because they didn’t have a lift at the original place. I thought it was a bigger place that would have a lift but it’s more like a house with rooms. The second place was awful, so I was moved again after a night there to another place. This place was better but still had stairs. The room had a perfume smell that seemed to mask an odd damp smell from the carpet. I believe they use the initial property to entice people and then take them to other bookings that are not as nice. The only reason I didn’t insist on going back to the original place was because I was told I would be upgraded to a room with its own private bathroom at the third place but that didn’t happen either. Then, I was too tired to move again with four luggages.

Great location and overall pleasant

Great location of the guesthouse - uncrowded neighbourhood, a stone throw to metro station and shops nearby, a large pretty park nearby, quiet streets. The owner was very friendly, responsive and accommodating. We were exhausted after the night flight, and the owner made his best to check us in earlier.

The beddings were fresh, which is most important. But the floor looked like it haven't been cleaned for a while. The door didn't sit tight in the frame, sound and light from the hall went through easily through the gap underneath it.

OK for a small budget, but not great.

For my purposes, the location and the price were good. I had a fridge and a kettle in my room. Always a free car park in front of the house. I hardly ever met staff, but when I did, they were very friendly and helpful. It's a good place for someone with a small budget, who doesn't mind the shortcomings.

The whole place was rather tired, with quite a few very old and broken furnishings. One had to use the shared bathrooms, which were often occupied just when you wanted them. The shared kitchen was very basic, and the toaster didn't work properly. Opposite the house was a railway track, which was often very loud despite the noise barrier.

We had to wait about 15min for the host to show up. This despite calling 30min before we arrived, and then calling again when we arrived. Normally not an issue, but at 22:30 after driving 6 hours you don't want to be kept waiting.

For work travel it's okay & although I didn't like everything, I will most likely book there again.

The hosts were very friendly and they even gave me a spacious double room under the roof (I had booked a single room), because there was a group of people who might be a little louder on the floor where I was supposed to be. It was clean and there was even a kettle in the room and a kitchen downstairs. I also liked that thre room had a little desk, a fridge, a wardrobe and a towel rack.

The walls were very thin between the rooms (you can hear the TV quite loudly from the other room and people talking). The pillow was way to thick (I don't know how anyone can sleep on it!) - I had to create a make-shift pillow from my clothes. In the toilet on the top floor there were neither soap nor paper towels. I think this is not too much to ask for, for the money you pay.
