Hacienda El Brillante

The location was perfect — close to supermarkets and within around 15 minutes of the main attractions, while still being tucked away high above the busy streets in a peaceful, private courtyard. The free private parking was also a huge bonus and made exploring the area by car very convenient. Courtyard, with plenty of seating, a pool and a BBQ area. It was a great place to relax and unwind away from the hustle and bustle, while still being close enough to everything we wanted to see and do.

There really isn’t much we can say that we didn’t like, as it was a great place and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only suggestion we would make is perhaps having scheduled times for use of the swimming pool, particularly as there are multiple apartments sharing the facilities. During our stay, another family remained in the pool for an extended period, so unfortunately we didn’t get the opportunity to enjoy it ourselves. This is absolutely no criticism of the host or the property — it’s simply constructive feedback that may help manage guests’ expectations and ensure everyone gets an opportunity to enjoy the pool.

Facilities + cleanliness + calm

Noise isolation is subpar, the appart hotel is very quiet and familly friendly but if your neighbor is a bit roudy you will hear him. Our stay was calm and comfortable so no issue there as most people were famillies and it is forbidden to party there... But still a good thing to know

It is a bit far from the central part of the town if you don’t have a car

Location for easy access to Córboda was great for us as we had a hire car. We were looking for accommodation that would enable us to get out to the national.parks and explore the area so this was great for us.

Noise from adjacent apartment - you can hear everything in the next apartment. Certainly not soundproofed rooms as stated in description. Child(ren) still running in apartment and noisy at 11pm, adults arguing until midnight (and later). Apartments not fully let (Feb 23) so would be even worse in high season. Kitchen area was REALLY small - no workspace for preparing food or dishing up. No cupboard space to store any food shopping. No kettle or tea/coffee making facilities so had to resort to saucepans to heat water. Limited hot water for showers some mornings. Poor bathroom design means water from shower spills onto floor (clearly common fault as door frame to lounge is rotten). Had to requested cushions for outdoor furniture so we weren't sat just on metal slats (in fairness these were provided once we asked). Damp on walls from door to outside patio. Patio door not sealing shut fully so noise from road audible. Limited wardrobe space in bedroom for 2 people staying longer than a long weekend. Only 4 coat hangers provided in total.
