    Our stay here was absolutely magical — the location is dreamy, straight out of a movie. The staff were incredibly warm and friendly, making us feel right at home. Every corner is picture-perfect, and the balcony with its breathtaking view of the Nile River is simply unforgettable. A truly enchanting experience!

    A gorgeous resort, with the most amazing views over Aswan. Food in the restaurant isn't cheap - but it's some of the tastiest we had in all of Egypt! The resort can organise easy transfers up and down the mountain and across the river, so don't be put off the remote location, as long as you're happy to do the ~25 min journey to get to Aswan. I promise it's worth it for the views!

    I’ve never left a bad review for a hotel before, but I booked this one based largely on the positive reviews and photos, and I would have appreciated some candid insight on the downsides. The hotel is very far out of the way on a badly paved road. Most drivers won’t go there, which then requires a long tuk tuk ride through dirty streets to get to the bridge, and considerable added time to get to tour sites. There’s no hot water and the cold water comes out in a trickle. The service was poor and generally non-existent. During dinner, a waiter dropped a tray of boiling hot hibiscus tea on me. Accidents happen, but the hotel’s lack of response was egregious and emblematic of the poor hospitality at this hotel. They did not offer to comp our dinner (not even the tea) or launder my soiled clothes. I got burn blisters all over my side torso, which they did not express any concern for. After showing pictures of my burns, my husband was eventually able to negotiate a small discount on our meals, which in no way compensated for the blisters I still have on my side. All that said, I think this could be a nice lunch spot if you don’t mind the out of way location (and don’t order anything too hot!). The hotel grounds are lovely and the staff does a great job keeping them clean. The food was excellent — some of the best we had on our trip.
