Nala Narty Nubian House & Organic Farm

Nala Narty had been a wonderful stay in Aswan, especially after spending few days in Cairo. It was peaceful, lovely and relaxing. Sheriff and the team frankly made the whole experience next level. My partner and I had a great time under their hospitality. It was like staying at your local Egyptian friend’s house. The room is simple but comfortable. The food they served was excellent and authentic.

Nothing. I was a bit hesitant at the beginning that travelling in and out might be inconvenient as it’s on an island but they helped us arrange most transportation and everything was very well organised and easy.

Gorgeous location and rooms

Great place to unwind after weeks of temples and intensity. You can swim in the Nile, great views from the room looking out at the lake. I stayed for 5 nights and 2 of those nights I just relaxed. The food was great. Bakh the manager went out of his way to help organise my days and ensure I was having a great time. His english is great, very easy to speak to, extremely responsive. and we hung out together too which was nice. Great for solo travellers and for partners who want a more romantic spot, there’s an epic rooftop as well, and Zazu the dog is a legend! Will miss the place.

Some of the younger kids who work there need better attitudes. Otherwise all good.

The owner is passionate about his property. He is quick to reply to all messages and takes personal responsibility to show you around and explain all the details. He interacts with all his guests at breakfast offering tips and suggestions. We had a birthday dinner and he made it extra special in many ways. Also, our kids absolutely LOVED the corgi and kitten!

The biggest problem is that the Nubian village across the narrow Nile had TWO wedding nights which are literally all night parties going until 6 AM! It was impossible to sleep as the music blasted all night long. Apparently this is a Nubian thing and if it's on during your stay there's nothing you can do about it. The next big problem is that one of the employees stole my earphones. The owner did his best to check the room to make sure it wasn't misplaced and also followed up with offering to pay for them (I declined). I hate to blame the property for this as the owner is a really nice guy but it happened.
