The apartment is located in a portion of sky-ground corner of a castle dating back to the seventh century. The entire castle-town lives on today thanks to a valuable restoration that has earned the first national award (Conservation Foundation in London, sponsored by Ford, CNR, ENEA and Rusconi) for the best architectural salvage.

Montelagello was a dreamplace to spend our holidays ! Living in a castle with a great sight and a pool, that's paradise. Furthermore Nazareno (the keeper of the castle) was absolutely nice and always available for any question.

We had a wonderful holiday at Monte Lagello. It is a beautifully restored old village in the Umbrian hills. It is set away from nearby amenities but this encourages you to relax and just enjoy being in such lovely surroundings. If you want to explore you are within easy reach of many lovely day trips to historic towns such as Assisi, Orvieto, Spoletto and Perugia. Lake Trasemino is also not far away. There is a good sized pool also for relaxing around and soaking up the views.
This is a fantastic apartment/house. It easily slept our family of five with plenty of room in the living areas to relax and a lovely self contained private garden for relaxation and outdoor eating. The house has lots of lovely character features such as beams, rustic decoration and wall pictures.
This was our second visit to Monte Lagello and I am sure we will return again. Would not hesitate to stay at Gianmarios house again, it really is special.

We stayed in this house for one week. The swimmingpool is perfect. The complex is very lovely situated. Quit and peacefully. The kitchen is good, but the oven is really too small. We have to slice the pizza to bake it, so it takes a long time. Further the showering is with almost cold water. Further did we have a really good week here and we are definitly coming back, but we do not know if we want to return to this house, because of the cold shower. Maybe we can try other appartments.
