Fai is an excellent starting point for many pleasant excursions on foot, by mountain bike or on horseback through the lush meadows and the cool woods of the plateau, where clean air and contact with nature make you forget the stress and the frenetic pace of life modern. Special mention should be given to the gymnastics courses held every summer at the sports center, organized personally by the great Olympic champion Yuri Chechi.
Among the athletes Fai is known above all thanks to the Skiarea Paganella, an avant-garde area connected to the town with very modern ski lifts. Wide and sinuous slopes, always perfectly snow-covered and of every level immersed in an incredible panorama make the joy of alpine skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts, who also have a well-equipped snow park, while the little ones can learn to ski while having fun in the wide snow playground Paganella Fun Park. For those wishing to explore the mountains in the winter away from the slopes, there is no shortage of beautiful excursions with snowshoes and itineraries for ski mountaineering in the Adamello Brenta Natural Park.
In summer the Fai plateau invites to pleasant excursions among the green of its meadows and in the shade of its woods. An easy itinerary for the whole family is the educational itinerary to the archaeological excavations of Doss Castel, which have brought to light the remains of ancient settlements dating back to the Bronze Age, the Late Neolithic and the Rhaetian period. Not far from the excavations there is a life trail, the beautiful viewpoint of Madonnina del Belvedere and Calcara, an ancient furnace where limestone was worked to obtain lime, while other routes of particular interest are the Ardito Alberto path and the thematic route the Via delle Acque.
The Tonidandel residence is located 500 meters from the ski lifts and 500 meters from the town center, it enjoys an astonishing view of the surrounding mountains.
