The place is comfortable, clean and in a peaceful location. The host was very friendly and hospitable and also let us leave our baggages there after check out to explore the city.

The location is fantastic - it's in a quiet part of Murano near an excellent bakery catering to locals. There's a lovely front garden. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Tea and coffee is provided, along with basic breakfast supplies. Check in and check out was easy, with clear instructions provided and an electronic access system.
The bathroom has one of those shower set ups you see in parts of Europe with a hand-held shower above a tub, with the fitting for the shower head at about knee height (I just don't understand why you wouldn't affix it at head height?). I ended up giving up on showers and having baths - which was actually quite nice as it was winter and there was plenty of hot water. Everything was clean on surface level (clean sheets, floors, bathroom etc) but there was black mould in the bathroom and, most worryingly, on the lip of the reverse-cycle aircon unit. As this was the main heating, I was a little concerned it was shooting spores around the room.

It was a good location in a quiet area which was perfect for us. It was well stocked and a good price.
The rooms were not sound proof at all and you can hear everything going on in the rest of the building.
