Krumlov Tower

It is a very unique place to stay, and I’m glad we did. We rented two rooms: a double room on the ground floor and a family room on the second floor (first floor by European standards). The family room on the second floor was wonderful: clean, bright, spacious, and very comfortable.

It can be noisy into the evening and early in the morning because the property is located near the town's main parking area. Also, during our first night here was a concert in town - many drunk and loud people walking by way past midnight (not the property's fault). The second night was better. Closing the windows helps reduce the noise, but since there was no fan or air conditioning, we had to keep them open since it was very hot. The room on the ground floor felt like a basement with limited ventilation. It had a damp, musty smell, similar to a root cellar, which I didn't like. I imagine the room would be more comfortable during the colder months when the heater is on. I would recommend to add air purifier/dehumidifier in that room.

A unique, historic tower built over 500 years ago, wonderfully restored and renovated for modern day guests. The location is great - just a short walk to the heart of the lovely town. The meter-thick walls help keep things cool in the summer heat.

The courtyard outside the door is nice for morning coffee or enjoying a drink in the evening but so close to the road that it’s apparently not safe from people walking by; I left a shirt to dry on one of the chairs and it was gone when I came out to retrieve it.

Lack of pillows on the bed, a condom instead of a chocolate, no English breakfast tea, only fruit teas. The 250 in credit at cafe did not cover a reasonable breakfast. Lacked any live or caring from the owners usually seen in airbnb.
