About this villa rental

This beautiful property is located inside the walls of the historical Medieval Town of Rhodes. While it is a few steps away from historical monuments, ancient attractions, shops, bars and restaurants, the area is very quiet.

The house is split in two levels; the ground floor area consists of a fully equipped kitchen with brand new appliances: fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, espresso maker, hob and oven. There is also a living room on the ground floor with two large comfy sofas and a 43" UHD 4K TV with Netflix. On the first floor there are two separate bedrooms with new king size beds and a shared bathroom. There's an outdoor area on the ground floor with a dinning table for 6 people that is surrounded by colorful plants and a huge palm tree. Our guests are more than welcome to use the bbq equipment. There is also a separate area on the ground floor where the second bathroom is located.

It is an incredible expierence to stay in this nicely renovated medieval home within the old city of Rhodes. The grato livingroom is really neat. The bedrooms and their high wood ceilings, fireplaces and white plastered stone walls are very cozy. We loved the courtyard, desite being late November it is where we congregated when not out enjoying the many attitibutes of this incredible island! You are in for a treat if you stay here!

Great location and very spacious villa. The layout is a bit quirky with the second bathroom across the courtyard. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well-equipped and courtyard was a nice spot to eat and relax after a busy day. The staircase is a bit steep and narrow which could be a challenge if you are unsteady or will find it difficult to get your bags upstairs. We really enjoyed our time here.

You do want to stay here! It's roomy, clean, well appointed and well situated. The beds are comfy. Full kitchen. Shower upstairs & bathtub in a little bathhouse in the courtyard. AND the architecture is really interesting as part of the Old City. Sitting room downstairs is a perfect place to lounge. AND Be aware of biting bugs outside (mosquitos & biting flies). Bring citronella candles or coils. If coming from USA/America - note that much of UK has a preference for What'sApp as a communication medium. Our host was extremely pleasant & helpful - once we realized we'd been missing each other on messaging platforms. The air conditioning in the villa is in 2 places - 1 unit in each bedroom. It was enough to get out of the heat, but not enough to truly cool off for us. Our stay was during the height of the 2023 heatwave and during the devastating fires that burned ~10%. What you saw in the news is not what we experienced at the North end of the Island of Rhodes. Staying *in* a living medieval city is pretty awesome. You're off the main area so it's quiet - but still near to everything. The villa is a short walk from one of the main gates into the Old City. It's a doable walk even with big luggage - just make sure that luggage has wheels. The gate is named St. Athanasius but local drivers know it is the San Francisco gate. When you stay - make SURE to visit Stavros' English Pub. just up the little street & if you're a futbol (aka soccer) fan, bring him a scarf to put up.
