La Residenza del Sole al Pantheon

Ideal location in Rome, superb service organizing a private taxi to collect us from the cruise port. The reception staff member met us at the car and carried our luggage up to a room that was ready at 11am for us! 100% would stay here again.

The location was amazing. The size of the apartment was incredible, although the bathroom was a little cramped. Great to have a lift to help with the luggage. Spotlessly clean and serviced every day. Very efficient air con which was a life saver this summer ! Very close to the major attractions and great restaurants, as advertised you can see the Pantheon from the room, you can almost touch it !

The location was PERFECT. We got rooms overlooking the Pantheon and it was fantastic, and centrally located. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and they kindly upgraded us. They helped us arrange transportation to and from the train station for our family, and the drivers were very professional and courteous and the van immaculate. The rooms were great sides, nicely furnished and bathrooms nice. Great air conditioning. Great value and location.

Would have appreciated stronger wifi.

The location is excellent - you can easily walk everywhere. However, this unfortunately also means that it is extremely noisy throughout the night. The windows are very thin, and all the street noise can be clearly heard from the room, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. The staff were very friendly and helpful, which was definitely the positive side of the stay. Unfortunately, that is where the good things ended.

The price-to-quality ratio is not justified. The hotel is listed as a 4-star property on Booking, but in reality it is a 3-star hotel. The rooms are worn out, the furniture is outdated, and even the bed linens feel tired and used. The room also did not look like the pictures shown online. The breakfast was also disappointing, with a very limited selection. Another issue was that Booking allowed us to select a twin room, but upon arrival we were told that this room type does not actually exist. Instead, we were given an “upgrade” to a larger room meant for four people. While the room was bigger, it still did not match what we originally booked and expected.
