The location is perfect for walk or short drive to Locorontondo. Neighbouring villages within easy reach. The sparking expansive swimming pool with the sweetest resident cat. Spacious accommodation. Having only 3 Trulli makes for a more private stay.
The pictures on the Booking.com website are very outdated & limited with regards to the actual accommodation on offer. It therefore makes it a challenge to decide which of the 3 Trulli complexes are best suited to needs. It would be good to know the differences.
Villa L'Olivo is set in lush gardens with a watering system which means there is an abundance of mosquitos. At night it is not possible to sit outside & enjoy meals in the covered terrace area. We tried using mosquito coils but that only worked for a short while. There is a lovely built in outdoor BBQ but due to mosquito situation we did not use it. The neighboring Trulli il Maresciallo had a mobile BBQ they could use.
We wrongly assumed that the washing machine was in the Trulli however this is not the case. It is located outside il Maresciallo in a cupboard & you are told very sternly on arrival that you are only permitted 2 washes. Any additional washes would be €5. No mention of this on the listing.
There is no view except of the garden whereas il Maresciallo has a beautiful view of Locorontondo from the terrace. Wish we'd have known that & would've stayed here instead. There is a mishmash of tatty rocking chair & deck chair in the outdoor area but no comfortable seating outside & no umbrella per the picture on the website...
There is no toaster or microwave in the Trulli...knew this in advance however would have been useful to have these. We stayed for 5 nights.
The decor is very traditional & has so much potential to be amazing. A more comfortable sofa & bed also upgraded linen/decor would do wonders!
On the whole we enjoyed our stay although had we known about the view from il Maresciallo & the mosquito situation at L'Olivo we would have booked there instead.

Très bel hébergement, à la fois spacieux et plein de charme, aussi bien à l’intérieur qu’à l’extérieur. Le cadre est magnifique et paisible, entouré d’oliviers. Angela a été très arrangeante concernant les horaires, nous avons même pu arriver avant l’heure du check-in.
Il était possible de faire deux machines, ce qui était très pratique. Cependant, la machine est à l’extérieur, et nous avons eu de la pluie durant notre séjour. Il y aurait sans doute la place pour l’installer dans la salle de bain, ce serait encore plus confortable.

Chcieliśmy mieszkać w domku trulli i to się nam udało. Cały obiekt bardzo piękny, a nasz pokój komfortowy. Basen do dyspozycji gości i ogród z drzewami oliwnymi. Lokalizacja bardzo dobra - daleko od tłumów Alberobello, ale na odległość spaceru do Loccorotondo. Przemiła gospodyni, włoskie śniadanie ale z omletem :)
