Location and cleanliness and ease of access. AC was excellent. Great towels.

Minimal noice during the late night

The very important aspect was the care and attention from the Host. Before our stay they have contacted us and made sure that we are clear on the checking in procedures. They made sure everything is done up and in order. To our surprise, we were greeted with a welcome snack and pack plus they knew that there was a hot front in Lisobon, so they turned on the AC for us. We were so grateful for the thoughtfulness as we welcomed the very confortable and cool apartment when we walked in. Our apartment was on the ground floor so we didn't need to climb any stairs. There is a lift but not sure of its working. The location cannot be any better and we were very happy to have chosen this apartment in Chiado. We were near all the major highlights of Lisbon and were within a comfortable walking distance to Baixa, Praca do Comercio and Rua Agusta which is also very happening. This part of Chiado is full of live and energy. There were 2 very charming and cozy restaurants just across the road and there were many pubs and Mini Marts nearby. We also enjoyed our cool evening walks aong the riverfront which is just 5 mins away. Another great treat is the Time Out market is only 3 mins walk away from the apartment. Great food and variety. Another good aspect of the apartment is that it is only about 20m away from the flat ground so we didnt have to walk a long steep slope to get to the apartment. We planned our walks so that we always walk downhill to the apartment from Praca do Rossio or Alfama.

Witht the abundant night life we could hear people merry making quite late into the night but its very faint and didnt not disturb us that much. Even though this apartment has day curtain, we still need to make sure that we close the wooden shutters when we needed privacy. There are no place for privacy in the apartment except the bathroom. But that is just a very minor issue.
