low price, nice building/ garden , not far from city center by walk

old beds with metal spin painfull if you weight more than 60 kg , only 2 fans for 8 people and not reaching upper beds , mosquito nets on windows with big holes and no net on door ....only one bathroom with one cold shower water and one wc for 8 people ...

Honestly the best hostel I've been value wise (and trust me, I've been in a lot of them). The cheapest you can get this on spot is around 65k IDR. That's under 4€, and for it you'll get a breakfast (choose from 3 options, coffee/tea included), super comfortable bed, nice environment with a cat that likes to sleep with you, staff changes the bedsheet everyday, good/clean facilities with a fast wifi. You can also order meals here, starting from 35k IDR. French fries were 14k. There's also a grocery store literally on the same building. You can also book tours or rent scooters here. Credit cards are accepted with a 3% extra fee. Everything also feels safe here. I've just left my stuff (including laptop & money) laying there on my bed and no one even touched it. The staff is also just amazing. They ask you everyday how are you and what's up. They're very helpful with everything honestly. I've ended up extending my stay for 5 days now, and probably will do so even more. Thank you <3

The common space isn't the most comfortable. The bedroom itself is pretty big though, easily fitting 4 beds. There are no curtains on beds unfortunately. However, there's not much people overall. This isn't your usual party hostel with a lot of social interaction. Some might not like it, but for me it is absolutely amazing!

Breakfast was PHENOMENAL, one of the lovely grounding features of my stay. There was the option between banana pancakes, scrambled eggs, or omelette. All came with fruit, the egg options came with toast as well, and then either a cup of tea or coffee with it. The whole time I was there (5? days - I extended by two because it was such a chill relaxing space to be) I loved the morning routine of coming out for breakfast, and then spending an hour reading my book as a lovely breakfast was brought to me and I got to drink a cup of tea in amongst the banana trees in their super calm courtyard. I was in a shared dorm of 8 but was the only inhabitant for the full week. Had a plug in fan right next to my bed, was able to do mount batur on a tour organised by the bungalow by signing up just the evening before. They were really lovely and it was a super nice set up to be quiet and isolated away from the sounds of the city but still within walking distance. Apparently Uma Kutuh 1 has a swimming pool as well for the same price but I was more than happy with this. Would definitely stay again!

Bathroom was a bit dark and could definitely use a refurb. Was kept clean with daily work from the team though and can't complain when water pressure and heat is a go :)
