Fantastic rooms, comfortable beds, amazing views, hiking trails nearby.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Jaegersteig Hotel, and both times we have enjoyed the rooms, the incredible breakfast, and the gracious staff. We cannot say enough good things about the staff and their willingness to make sure you are comfortable. Love the free parking. The restaurant is definitely worth a visit. Food and presentation are incredible.

A beautiful hotel in a truly stunning location- but take a travel kettle, cups and tea bags!!

it was in a beautiful location and our room was perfect with windows on two sides affording stunning views and a cooling mountain breeze. Breakfast on the terrace was wonderful and the choice of food was extensive and high quality.

It was not mentioned onBooking.com that the hotel restaurant is closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays and there are no staff on site. when we arrived after a very long drive from the U.K. there was no one to welcome us and nowhere to even get a drink or a meal. there was not even a kettle or tea/coffee making facilities in our room. Luckily we had a few beers in the car and friends came to the rescue and took us out to dinner. Booking.com needs to make people aware of this as we could have been stranded!

Hotel needs to try harder. Restaurant was very nice.

The quality of the food in the restaurant was excellent. Hope you enjoy slow food. The service in the restaurant (at dinner) was friendly and professional but it takes a long time for the food to arrive. Recommend you to start early,

1. on the first day the hotel was almost empty but the ONLY rooms available to book on booking.com were the suites (at high price). Other rooms were not available on our dates - (after having arrived to an empty hotel) the non-availability of lower rated rooms to choose from left us feeling defrauded 2. There was a used, old (medical) plaster on the floor of the shower basin (ie: shower was not properly cleaned) 3. The restaurant was CLOSED for the 1st night of our stay, and this was NOT transmitted in advance. Considering it is a Restaurant Hotel, it was rather disapointing. 4. Breakfast was not great overall: i) ex. Croissants were few (on 2nd day, the breakfast area was busy / full, but there were only 3 croissants available at 8:30. They vanished immediately and were not replaced until end of breakfast at 10:00. ii) (on 1st day) upon request bacon was served but on 2nd day it was scharzwalder schinken - heated up, not bacon. iii) on 2nd day, when asked for service, the staff member serving bacon and eggs was unfriendly and muttered something about "what do you expect for a 6 euro breakfast." - the daily amount paid for our room rate was rather high, included breakfast and did not specify an amount for breakfast. The comment was innapropriate and unprofessional. iv) choice of breads was poor / non-existent ( ? 3 types ? ) which is a pity given the general high standard of bakery available in Germany. 5. At breakfast after our 1st night, we booked a table for the dinner on our 2nd evening, but when arriving at the restaurant our booking did not exist. The restaurant staff did find some space for us in the busy restaurant, but...

A really spectacular place to stay and have dinner!

Pretty much everything. Our room was decorated in a "quirky" but still really modern and interesting way, really lovely. The bed was large and very comfortable. Cleanliness was 100%. The staff was extremely kind at all times. Our 4-course dinner at the restaurant was very good and fairly priced, plus the view from their terrace is really stunning... particularly at sunset! Breakfast in the morning was very good with plenty of choice.

A small nitpick: I don't think our room had blackout curtains, so bringing a sleeping mask would be a good idea to avoid having a ton of sunlight in the room early in the morning.

On arrival we were welcomed immediately by very friendly helpful staff. Absolutely beautiful room with fabulous views. Room was very modern, very clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. I would highly recommend staying here. 5 stars.

Das Restaurant ist sehr schön ausgestattet. Über Bühl gelegen bietet es eine herrliche Aussicht, weshalb das Frühstück noch besser schmeckt. Das Frühstück war sehr reichlich, alles da, was man braucht. Rührei wurde auf Wunsch frisch gemacht. Die Chefin war sehr engagiert. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

Grandiose Erholung durch Weitblick und Spitzen-Ambiente

Hervorragende Küche und ausgewählte Spitzenweine. Beim Frühstück wirklich alles da, was man sich wünscht. Sehr schönes Ambiente auf der Terrasse und in den Zimmern. Man spürt, dass die Gäste sich wohl fühlen sollen als oberste Priorität.

Ein grosser Spiegel fehlte im Zimmer, sonst fällt mir nichts ein.

Onze kamer was tiptop voor mekaar Er ontbrak ons aan niets. Een mooi terras met prachtig uitzicht.

Eigenlijk niets maar alleen had graag wat zacht brood gehad ipv harde bolletjes.Verder was het ontbijt uitstekend hoor!

Le restaurant était assez cher et le service très lent (2h pour avoir mon plat et une entrée). Nous comprenons qu’il y avait du monde mais dans ce cas il faut étoffer l’équipe ou accepter moins de clients… Manque d’organisation et d’accueil pour compenser cela.

Zeer comfortabele moderne kamer met airco en met een prachtig uitzicht. Heerlijk bed en fijne inloop douche. Ontbijt was ook erg goed.

L emplacement de l hôtel et parking gratuit . chambre spacieuse .

Il manque un frigo dans la chambre . chambre 31 très belle vue mais la terrasse de l établissement juste en dessous d ou les bruits de montage de parasol a 7h et la soirée les clients du restaurant . Le prix pour un chien de 1kg :12,50€ par nuit . et le restaurant ferme le jeudi .. du coup le bar aussi , en plein mois de juillet !! Nous avons pas déjeuner sur place suite à la réservation sans déjeuner et reçu de leur part un décompte ou on nous avaient mis le déjeuner sans notre accord . du leur répondre que nous ne déjeunions pas . j ai horreur qu on nous force la main de plus les horaires de déjeuner on s en passe surtout qu en ville une très bonne boulangerie et la sans horaire .

Personeel zeer professioneel en vriendelijk in de omgang. Het ontbijt is uitgebreid en de koffie is zeer lekker wat misschien wel normaal is maar de zenuwachtigheid achteraf bleef weg. Het diner is er een van een betere keuken en niet van de traditionele Duitse keuken. Frankrijk is natuurlijk zeer dichtbij.......

Fantastisch

Ik werd zeer hartelijk ontvangen en er werd direct een tafel voor me vrijgemaakt in het restaurant, alwaar een zeer goede maaltijd werd geserveerd. De kamer was fantastisch. Heerlijk bed en een geweldige douche. Het hotel ligt op een mooie rustige locatie, met prachtig uitzicht en de kamer is met rolhorren te verduisteren. Tijdens het uitgebreide ontbijt werd er op verzoek eieren gebakken op de gewenste wijze. Een échte aanrader!

Bij het hotel kon ik mijn auto niet laden (plug in hybride), maar op korte afstand stonden twee 150kW laders in de publieke ruimte.

Très bonne soirée et nuit passée dans l’hôtel mais l’organisation de la restauration n’est pas optimale pour le tarif appliqué (longue attente alors que d’autres tables autour de la nôtre étaient servies).

Ein wunder schöner Kurz Urlaub

Das Zimmer war schön und Neu eingerichtet, das Bad war wunderschön und groß, die Terrasse war gut da konnte der kleine Hund heraus sitzen. Das personal war sehr freundlich und ist auf wünsche eingegangen. Das Hotel hat eine Aussicht was ich jedem weiter empfehlen kann. Gruß. M. Jägle

Prima en hondvriendelijk hotel met zeer vriendelijk personeel en prachtig uitziciht

Prachtige locatie met vanaf het ruime terras/ restaurant fantastisch uitzicht over de wijnranken. Grenzend aan bos waar je fijn even kon wandelen met de honden. Zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Ik heb heerlijk gegeten in het restaurant met uitgebreide keuze en prima prijs-kwaliteitverhouding. Moderne, pas gerenoveerde kamer met uitstekend bed en ruime badkamer met fijne douche. Ik had 2 (rustige kleine) hondjes bij me die ook zeer welkom waren, ook in het restaurant.

Het was erg warm in de kamer, de airco kon wel aan maar ging automatisch na een paar minuten weer uit, dus het bleef warm. Er was wel een telefoon om de receptie te bellen (verbonden aan een informatiescherm) maar zonder kiesscherm (was voor mij in ieder geval onduidelijk). Omdat ik al mijn pyjama aanhad, had ik geen zin meer om naar beneden te lopen dus ik heb het raam maar open gezet waardoor het wel afkoelde maar helaas onweerde het flink dus dat was erg lawaaiig en had ik een hele bange hond in de kamer. Waarschijnlijk heb ik iets verkeerd gedaan met de airco. Ik zou het hotel adviseren om alle gasten even uit te leggen hoe het werkt.
