Highly recommend this area for views, hiking and a nice getaway.

Beautiful area with great views and good food at the restaurant. The 2 twin bed room was set up wonderfully for my friend and I. Staff was very nice and got us in for dinner just in time. Food and wine were tasty!

Cozy family hotel with panoramic views

The location of the hotel overlooks the landscape. The hotel building is ancient and well-preserved. The room was comfortable and pleasant. Good breakfast. They also took care of a vegan option. The staff is friendly and very welcoming.

There is no air conditioning in the room, there was a fan.

Excellent Restaurant, poor hotel.

Location was fantastic, high up overlooking the Rhine Valley. The restaurant was well renowned in the area and exceptionally busy. This meant you have to book up your evening meals well in advance of your arrival. The breakfast was fabulous as were the evening meals. With an extensive menu. For the duration of my stay, I had a garage for my car, which was excellent.

The Hotel was classed as a 3 star but it was a very tired Hotel. The rooms were not particularly clean with remains of previous clients underwear under the tv cabinet. it would appear that they concentrate on the excellent restaurant, which is in a separate building to the hotel.

A place that everyone needs to visit at least once.

Superb location right next to a forest trail and on top of a high hill from where you can see for over 20 km. The castle ruins and adjacent well-maintained medieval-looking buildings create a romantic atmosphere that makes one feel supremely relaxed. Dinner and breakfast were very nice with properly trained staff. The place was sparkling clean which was great. Parking is very easy at the location and is free. I can't give it a full 10 due to some relatively minor inconveniences, but let's be honest, this is an amazing place and we will surely come back soon.

The beds are not the most comfortable (also kind of squeaky) and the pillows were very deflated so we had a bit of trouble sleeping. Also the rooms were a bit hot and while they have really good fans to help, it can become quite uncomfortable in 32-degree days. Couldn't open the windows at night due to the absence of mosquito nets. What I found just a bit strange was that I felt I had to pull words out of the reception person's mouth. He was very amiable and friendly in disposition, but we had to ask about each thing like breakfast and dinner options, location, wi-fi password, etc. instead of him giving us a quick run-down of the essentials. I'm sure he is very busy with so much other work, but just found it a bit strange we had to ask for every detail.

Stunning and unique location in and around a historic castle ruin Spacious room with a lovely view of the vineyard Nice breakfast included Free reserved parking spot Excellent free EV charging (22kW, Type 2 cable) – very convenient Peaceful nature all around, great for dog walking

No elevator, so be prepared to carry luggage upstairs (or a dog in our situation)

We really enjoyed the view and dinner, but otherwise I do not believe we will return here.

The view is indeed great and dinner in their restaurant was absolute amazing in both evenings - many thanks to the chef! The place was overall clean and the staff very friendly.

The rooms are really old. An old feeling is welcomed in a castle, but the windows are really old, the wallpaper as well and the walls themselves are extremely thin (you could hear your neighbor plugging/unplugging a cable). The bed was not that comfortable. The sauna experience was really not pleasant: you have access to the sauna once only (otherwise you need to pay for every extra visit) and you need to book it in advance. The environment there was not friendly: the place had no ambient music (player was unplugged somewhere in a corner), the water in the bucket for the sauna was visibly old, the place was dark, no water downstairs and the lounge chairs are located in front of the gym, meaning that while you relax the person in the gym watches you while running from a 2-3 m distance.

Fairy tale castle

Wonderful castle! Very beautiful surroundings. We stayed there with kids just before Christmas and had a lot of snow - it was a fairy tale! Comfortable family room. Breakfast was also good.

It would be nice to have a kettle in a room.

Driving vacation

A lot to do in close proximity. We especially enjoyed the local hikes and the restaurant. The food was excellent and the views were spectacular.

We had a little trouble translating some of the trail and historical site plaques into english.

Old style hotel but with good quality of beds and furnitures. The breakfast was served with a lot of choices. The liquor that they made was also very delicious and of high quality.

The room was a bit too warm for us to sleep even with fan. No airco.

The hotel was located in a very unique place with a beautiful view. It also had a really peaceful balcony. Another thing to mention is the Spa area that is located in the basement. The Sauna and the Fitness Area were super clean and cozy.

Perfect Stay

The location and the view were amazing. Our room was quite big and had a nice view. Additionally, the room and bathroom were very clean. Breakfast had lots of varieties and were delicious.

The plugs in the room were not working. Only in the bathroom, it was working. I think you need to ask for an adapter or sth.

quirky place to stay with amazing views

amazing location. quirky rooms that had beautiful views. beds very comfy and duvet and pillow excellent. very clean. nice bottle water in room.

entrance area dark with multiple stairs. some creak so glad our room was away from there. could not get wifi to work but that’s a minor thing.
