The bed was so comfortable and the linens were crisp, spotless and good quality Egyptian cotton.
Vincent was charming and helpful.
Breakfast was delicious and convivial.
Absolutely nothing!
Just one comment - the owners have a dog. He is a gorgeous soppy St Bernard and totally unscary. But if you have allergies maybe avoid the sitting room.

Black Rock House is a complete gem. Vincent keeps a wonderful home, full on interesting art and other collectibles. The room was spacious, and every detail thought about (we love a dressing gown in our room for post shower) The bathroom was big, shower powerful. We appreciated the tea and coffee in the room, the welcome drink on the terrace (excelle t G&T). The breakfast was a veritable banquet. Lots on offer, and the scrambled eggs were the best we have had. We would love to come again the next time we are in Hastings. The location worked well for us, just a 15 minute stroll into town, tougher on the way back than the way in! Vincent sent lots of tips for making the most of our stay, which was very much appreciated.
