Nice comfortable place, just opposite the lake where I enjoyed several swims! The garden is a lovely place to sit and relax.
I was surprised at breakfast to only receive two half of fruit (there was also omelette and tea). When I asked for more fruit, I was told that this is an extra cost - this strikes me as very mean, when you have already paid for breakfast and fruits are plentiful and cheap in any case.
Several others have also talked about the noise from the club and bar opposite - it's definitely there but not a massive disturbance, not much they can do about that unfortunately.
Apart from this, it was a very pleasant stay

The staff were really helpful and kind. The location for meeting in Serena was perfect. I could walk there. The garden was super, lots of birds, rabbits, chickens Guinea fowl and a turkey. The price was good. I had a lovely room looking over the garden. I could see the lake over the walls. Sitting in the garden I could watch the world go by. The breakfast was served in the garden. It was beautifully served and presented.
The water in the shower was not very warm. The road was a bit noisy.

Great location, unbeatable price. Very rustic atmosphere, with chickens, rabbits, guinea fowls and turkeys running around. Guinea fowls are a bit noisy though.... Clean rooms, artsy/rustic style.
On booking.com my room price stated breakfast was included, but it was not. I think this was a genuine mistake. I voiced it up and it is being looked into.

Hotel located a few meters away from the beautiful Kivu lake and some restaurants and bars which provide good services including at night. Has a large and charming gardens from where you can interact with rabbits and birds. Staff always reachable.
Its often not clear if breakfast is included in the price, so you might want to check. Each of us have often had to pay an extra for breakfast.
