Great apartment, really good value for money, fabulous old building, fantastic location.

The property was really good value for the price. It was spacious, well appointed and in a great location. We loved the grand old building. The bed was comfortable and the Wi-Fi was great. A fantastic view. Good checkin directions from our host.

Great place in an old building in the city center

The apartment is located very well in the city center of Aix-les-Bains, just a few meters away from the central station and directly on the beginning of the shopping district. The communication with the owner was quick and easy, the flat is really nice and cozy decorated. the balcony offers a great view on the city and the alps.

The central location has unfortunately the disadvantage that it is quite loud during the evening/nights, since people intentionally rev up their engines of motorcycles and cars at this big crossing.

A priority choice if in Aix-les-Bains

An excellent location reflecting a luxury of by-gone times. Located next the casino with a view of the mountains and town makes it easy to allow your mind to romanticise into the glorious past. Very spacious flat with all one would require. Step out of the door, turn left and you're ready for a good coffee and croissant or a lively evening out. Less than a 5 minutes walk from the train station. Room on a corner of the building offers panoramic view with windows on both sides.

Not much, maybe a few repairs to damages presumed inflicted by guests. A waste bin would be useful and the toilet flush sticks occasionally.

Central, convenient, recently renovated.

Central location near shops, restaurants, train station, etc. Recently renovated apartment. Host kindly offered cot and baby bath for our children.

Location was noisy in evenings due to nearby restaurants, concerts in a nearby park on multiple nights, and cars/bikes revving engines and speeding on a few evenings until late. FYI, this is not a hotel. We thought it was, due to the name. It is an apartment in a beautiful (but a bit run down) old building that used to be a hotel. This wasn't a problem, but good to be clear. Some basic supplies were missing, like hand soap.

Good location (Bars & Restaurants downstairs and train station within a quick walking distance). Quick wifi. Everything that you need for a longer stay (incl. washing machine & cleaning products). Clean & modern apartment. Very polite host & quick replies. Takes extra step to cater your needs. Would definitely stay here again.

There is no air conditioning, which might be something to take into consideration. After 8pm it’s impossible to open the main door on your own (only at check-in), you will have to wait on someone, or get the door opened for a surcharge. This might not be a smooth check in and bit unpleasant after a day of travelling.

J’ai réservé une « suite dans le Grand Hotel Palace » via Booking, mais après paiement j’ai découvert qu’il s’agissait en réalité d’un simple appartement géré par un particulier, sans réception, sans consigne de bagages et avec l’obligation de sortir soi-même les poubelles, malgré 18 € de frais de ménage

très mauvaise expérience et propriétaire accusateur

L’offre affichée sur la plate-forme ne correspond pas à la réalité du logement proposé. Le lieu est présenté comme un hôtel 3 étoiles, proposant un hébergement de 50m2 sous forme d’appartement. En réalité, le lieu était plutôt lugubre, certaines parties sont quelque peu insalubres (espace de la cuisine notamment). Nous ne nous y sommes pas sentis très bien et trouvons que l’offre, présentant le lieu comme un hôtel avec un bon standing, induit en erreur et trompe les clients. Comme mentionné dans d’autres avis publiés (que nous n’avons lu qu’après…) le lieu est sale et le propriétaire compte sur les locataires pour tout nettoyer d’un client à un autre… Nous avons fait part de ces insatisfactions au propriétaire qui s’est montré énervé et accusateur dans sa réponse. Il a tout à coup prétexté avoir connu une très mauvaise expérience avec nous en disant que nous avions été bruyants et que l’appartement avait été laissé dans un sale état (chose qu’il n’avait nullement soulevé avant que nous formulions notre plainte bien sûr). Heureusement, nous avions pris la peine de photographier une des parties de la cuisine sale en preuve et avons filmé l’ensemble du Check out avec heure et date en preuve, nous avons prévenu Booking et leur avons communiqué les photos et vidéos en preuve, merci à eux pour leur réactivité. En bref, ne vous faites pas avoir. En photos, la cuisine dans laquelle nous l’avons trouvée et le fameux « très piteux état nécessitant beaucoup plus de temps pour le remettre d'aplomb » dans lequel nous avons laisse l’appartement (je cite mot pour mot le propriétaire).
