Owner was so kind, helped us with taxi and was so welcoming upon arrival. The room was gorgeous and there was also access to the rooftop with an amazing view

The location is perfect in old town and there is no noise during the night, everything can be reached on foot.
The parking is pure luck to find around the Fortress and this is the biggest problem. Owner could renovate also the upper appartments it is not that much to change old furniture and invest longterm.

The location was excellent - very close to everything in the Old Town, easy walking distance from the bus station, but still quite quiet most of the time. The balcony doors were really good at cutting out any noise from the street, although there wasn't much noise to start with. Room 3 was a decent size, well equipped kitchen, table and chairs, comfortable beds.
It's very rare that I write a poor review, particularly having travelled extensively in Greece and having reasonable expectations. Unfortunately, this property didn't meet those expectations. We weren't told that the rest of the building was being refurbished during our stay or that the wifi wasn't working, so we had no opportunity to review whether we would stay there or go elsewhere. When we arrived, workmen had left rubble and buckets along the path making it difficult to get our suitcases into the building. Key collection was from an unlocked cupboard and there was no front door key. When we entered the room, there was a very strong smell of air freshener which we soon found out was to mask the awful smell from under the sink. We had to take the bin out from underneath the sink because we couldn't stand the stench when we opened the cabinet door. We kept the cutlery out of the drawer because opening the drawer also let the smell out into the room. The roof terrace was out of use because the workmen were using it and it had doors and rusty metal stacked there. They removed the rusty metal, leaving trails of rust all down the stairs until the cleaner came the next day. The roof terrace with sea view was our main reason for choosing the property and we couldn't use it. The furniture on the terrace was in poor condition too. I contacted the owner to ask if he could do something about the leak and smell under the sink and to ask when the roof terrace would be useable, but I received no reply. He was quick to reply when he thought we'd taken the key for the wrong room and to blame the phone company for the wifi, but no response about anything else.
