Location was great in terms of local amenities. The host was friendly and the bathroom was very high spec with a great shower. There was a lift which we’ve not seen often in old towns like chania so that was a plus with our cases etc.
The church (right outside) had bells ringing for a special service one of the mornings we were there - with speakers outside for people to hear - so we were woken up by the bells and the voices preaching from 6am that morning.

We absolutely loved our stay at Vranas. The beds were super comfortable, the room was beautifully designed, and everything was very clean. The location was ideal for us: peaceful, right in the center. A wonderful place to stay in Chania.

Location was great. Close to bus station and close to harbour. Close to everything, but one has to remember that Chania is a tiny village with a few streets.
Despite my repeated communication (3 messages), there was nobody at reception to meet me at the scheduled time of arrival. I had to wait 10 minutes to just be let in. Additionally, the front desk is normally not staffed even during regular business hours and if the door is locked, you can't let yourself out, unless you have the right key and know precisely which one of the three doors to use.
