Hotel City Palazzo Dei Cardinali

The location was fantastic! We were traveling with an infant and a child, so being within walking distance of everything was a huge plus. There were also lots of great restaurants in the neighborhood, which made dining out very easy and convenient. The staff were incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming throughout our stay. Breakfast was another highlight, with a great variety of options. And a special mention for the excellent cappuccinos we enjoyed every morning! Overall, we had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for families traveling with children. We would definitely come back and stay here again!

There were a few occasions when an unpleasant smell came from the bathroom sink, although it didn’t last very long. We also arranged a minivan transfer from the airport and specifically mentioned that we needed a rear-facing infant car seat for our 4-month-old. Unfortunately, when the driver arrived, the seat provided was not suitable for an infant of that age. We had paid extra specifically for the infant seat, so this was disappointing. The minivan was also parked about 15 minutes away from the hotel, even farther than the train station, which made the transfer less convenient than we had expected. We were hoping to simply get in the car and leave upon arrival. On the way back to the airport, the hotel arranged a regular taxi for us, which was €30 cheaper than the minivan transfer. Overall, these were minor inconveniences, but we felt they were worth mentioning

Acoustic insulation is poor but it’s usual for an old building. There were also some issues during check out, however Alessandro the supervisor took immediate actions. So no complaints.

AC was not cold enough

The AC did not work. When we told them about it they just said yes it’s so hot in Rome and the room has 2 levels so it’s not as strong.
