Sol An Bang Beach Resort & Spa

Staff sensational and terrific location......beach reconstruction is something that needed to be done so we were a bit stiff it was happening whilst we were there. Didn't spoil our time though.

Loved it all

The gardens - the people keeping the gardens so lovely are doing an amazing job. The plants are beautiful. I like the whole style of the outside areas and the buildings. The pools - really calm, lovely to swim in and lie around. The choice of 3 small pools means it’s never hectic but also leaves room for people to have fun. The rooms - they smell amazing, they have really comfortable beds, great toiletries. The massage - the best I’ve had in Vietnam. The location - so many lovely places to eat nearby, quick to walk to An Bang beach and easy to get to all the places we wanted to visit.

We got a message before we stayed to say that the beach was inaccessible for swimming at the moment. I feel that this does not reflect what’s really going on at all. The whole beach in front has lots of machinery which causes noise, and sometimes causes the place to shake. It’s not just to do with not being able to swim - the view was altered and it meant that a lot of the outdoor spaces were affected (e.g. sitting on sun loungers looking out to sea with diggers in the way, lots of hotel chairs and tables stacked away). On the first day, I nearly changed hotels because it was not what I was expecting from the communication I had with the hotel. However, I did love the place overall so we stayed and we did have a great time. I just think that people booking the hotel should be given accurate information.

Good location, it was quiet, away from pulsing An Bang beach which was very crowded. Staff were friendly and helpful. Affordable cafes nearby.

Unfortunately there was construction on the adjacent beach, so there was no beach access, and digger machinery operating. However I was able to lie in the shade on beach loungers and relax as I was tired. Shame about the construction though.

Breakfast was good. Staff did try to address our concerns. Free bikes to borrow.

Location - the beach was under reconstruction and couldn't use it, we were not notified of this until the night before. The sea view rooms have a high concrete balustrade making it almost impossible to view the sea. The sea view rooms don't have a toilet door, just a see through curtain!! A 10 -15 minute bike ride to go into An Bang for restaurants.
