Seaside Fisherman Cottage Southwold

This is a really delightful cottage. There is a little shared courtyard out the back with table and chairs which we used quite a lot. Good comfortable beds and generally inside was nice and clean. Excellent location on the High street.

This cottage is very genuinely an old fisherman's cottage which is delightful and charming. However, it has the original spiral staircase which is definitely not accessible to anyone with any mobility issues. I feel that this is not made clear enough in the description, which only mentions not being suitable for very young children. I booked originally for myself and my son, who has a learning disability and definitely would have struggled to get upstairs! There is a good downstairs bedroom and an unused toilet in the courtyard. I think there is a missed opportunity here! Also, the shared courtyard could be made lovely, but needed a good sweep and clean up, looked neglected and untidy.

It's a nice fisherman's cottage which we also booked last year.

A gorgeous, tiny property, which suited me and my sister. Lucy had thought of everything and paid so much care, love and attention. We loved it. The beds were divine....simply wonderful. Modern facilities were great.

Shower temperature was a bit intermittent. Front door lock a bit temperamental.

Its location, tiny cottage but has most things you need there to be comfortable.

The sofas are a bit like office furniture, didn’t enjoy the beds I’m afraid, I do not like memory foam, curtains were too short for the windows - really odd! Just felt quite basic. Unfortunately the bed gave me terrible neck pain. Also found the pricing not transparent while booking, apparently I had only booked the ‘house’ for single occupancy and then ended up having to send additional money on the day of arrival. Bit of a let down and wouldn’t stay again.
