The room was lovely and quirky. Spotlessly clean Location is excellent

Just to be aware, the accommodation is a room only, so although there is a fridge and kettle, there are no cooking facilities. There is some plates, cups, glasses and cutlery in a drawers (however there were no teaspoons).

The location was excellent. The room was clean with a beautiful view. The fact that you could get a discounted breakfast at the restaurant below was great.

I really missed not having an iron in the room or available for use. Additionally although the bed was comfortable, it was not a so not disturb mattress/bed so o knew every time my husband got up.

I was unsure how to correctly use the air conditioning

The property is in an excellent location and has a great view. The room was very clean when we arrived and the Wi-Fi was generally good throughout our stay. The remote support staff we dealt with were consistently friendly, polite, responsive and helpful whenever we contacted them. In particular, when we had an issue with the air conditioning on arrival, the person assisting us was very helpful and arranged for the system to be recalibrated remotely. We really appreciated the efforts of the staff throughout our stay, especially as we understand that some of the issues we experienced may have been outside of their direct control. The accommodation has a lot of potential and its location is fantastic for exploring the area.

Unfortunately, we experienced a number of practical and maintenance issues during our seven-night stay which left us disappointed and frustrated at times. When we arrived, the air conditioning was blowing hot air and could not be adjusted for the first few hours. This was particularly uncomfortable after travelling and carrying our suitcases to the property in temperatures of over 30°C. We contacted the remote support team and were asked to send videos of the system. The person assisting us was very helpful and arranged for it to be recalibrated remotely, although it took several hours before the room reached a comfortable temperature. There is no reception desk or staff permanently on site. While the room was clean when we arrived, room cleaning, fresh towels and toilet paper appeared to be provided only upon request. There was a "Do Not Disturb" sign, but no equivalent sign to request housekeeping. During our seven-night stay, our room was cleaned only once, after we specifically requested it. The room itself was smaller than it appeared in the photographs and we found the layout quite impractical. There were no bedside tables, meaning there was nowhere beside the bed to leave a phone while charging, and there was no safe for valuables. There was also no full-length mirror, the bedroom mirror was positioned too high to be practical, and the bathroom lighting was very dim. Some light switches did not appear to operate anything and the lighting throughout the room was generally quite poor. The shower leaked significantly through a gap in the doors, meaning we had to use two of our small towels each time to prevent the bathroom floor from flooding. The room was also not particularly well soundproofed and we could clearly hear conversations from the neighbouring room late at night. The balcony table was cracked and worn, with what appeared to be smoke damage.
