If you dont need cooking it is fine, bedrooms are great and plenty of restaurants and bars nearby

The bedroom were really nice and spacious, the bathroom was also really good the big shower head unfortunately only dribbled water not enough pressure. Location very close to many bars and restaurants as well as the lake.

Kitchen was non exsisting, small tiny horrible kitchenette pans and pots poor quality, no space to prepare any food, tiny dining table barely enough for two despite the lounge having plenty of space for something bigger. Horrible green fake leather sofa and no tv in the lounge area. Parking nearby very expensive at 2 euros per hour

Nothing, terrible experience

First negative review I’ve ever had to write but I felt I had to in this case because it wasn’t just a really terrible experience, but the owners or managers will mess you around – they are LIARS (and almost every other property nearby is better). IT WAS THAT BAD, false description, dirty, no privacy, and mould. NEVER STAY in any of the Osteria properties owned by these people (they have a few listed, all nearby), unless you love the idea of decrepit 1960s London bedsits on the shores of an Italian lake - the online description of the apartment on booking.com is inaccurate and incomplete, including using some photos that are of a different apartment. Their reaction to us raising the issue showed that they just don’t care and feel they can do what they want as by the time their guests have arrived they have very little alternative in Garda as it’s so busy. It is advertised as “Apartment with Lake View – Separate Building (Osteria Luxury Apartments)”, and we all know a little exaggeration isn’t unusual, but the apartment is the absolute opposite of ‘luxury’. They are clever at having a number of apartments and not being clear on which photos relate to which apartment. What they don’t say about the one we stayed in is that there isn’t a private shower and there is so much noise. It’s advertised as suitable for four people (double bed plus sofa bed) but there is absolutely no privacy when two couples stay as the shower is in a completely open area and there isn’t even a screen around it or a door between the areas where two beds are, and the shower cubicle is completely see through (so there isn’t even privacy for one couple or two single people). Only the toilet has a door – but the photos very cleverly hid that. The staff are too busy running a café and dealing with customers, so once they’ve given you the key they feel they don’t need to deal with you anymore.

Absolutely loved the place. The apartment/location was ideal for us. We would definitely return.

Location was great. We had an excellent holiday. The host was very friendly and accessible. The apartment was above the restaurant (L'Osteria) which was probably the most popular in the town and we used it 3 times out of the 7 nights. Food and service was excellent. The bed was huge and very comfy. The shower and bathroom facilities were great. Location of the property was excellent with us able to access a number of restaurants, the tourism office, buses, ferries and walks all on the doorstep. We even used the public bus for our transfer back to the airport as it was right outside and much cheaper than taxis.

The apartment was great but I would not class it as luxury! Kitchen facilities are basic. Having said that, we ate out most of the time so was not a problem to us. TV access was limited as Wifi connection dropped sometimes. Only with the TV though. Phones and tablets worked fine throughout.

Comfortable apartment, well located; the connected restaurant was excellent.

The location was excellent, the staff were friendly and helpful. The apartment was comfortable, spacious, and very clean. Even though we were above the restaurant, it was very quiet.

If we had stayed longer, we would have liked to cook but there was very little in terms of actual cookware and so this would have been difficult.

It’s ok for one night

It’s dark, only one window to the center of other building. We stayed only one night so it was ok because it’s very central. It’s also on top of the restaurant. AC is strong

It was wonderful! After I booked I read a very bad review here from somebody who said it was the worst stay ever and all good reviews must be fake which made me a bit nervous. Well. I guess that review must have been fake (how frustrated must one be to write a review like that just to hurt a business). This place was amazing and we will definitely come back. It is located right in the center of Peschiera del Garda-about 30 seconds (!) from the harbor. I think everybody mentioned that in their review already :) You get the key from the staff in the restaurant below the apartment: L’Osteria. They were all so nice and helpful! At first we couldn’t find the parking garage (it belongs to a hotel called ‘Pavillion’ which is about 1-2 minutes walking distance from the restaurant. They charge €20 per night but it is a very safe garage and you get a key card so you can come and go as you please. For us it was totally worth it). There is also public parking at the harbor and another very close public lot where we parked at first - but for us that didn’t feel too safe so we ended up moving the car to the parking garage. We arrived around noon and decided to eat lunch at L’Osteria (yes, at the end of the vacation I can say that they do have the best pizza in town) while we waited for the apartment to be ready. After lunch one of the staff took us upstairs. This is an old building with no elevator so you will have to carry your luggage upstairs - but that is really no big deal. The staff even offered to carry the luggage for us which was unnecessary. The apartment was very spacious, super clean, and even though some people here complained about the noise from the restaurant-we could not hear a single thing. Also not at night when the place was really packed. So I am not sure why this was an issue for others. The kitchens is small but absolutely functioning if you do not plan on preparing a 5 course dinner for a bunch of people.

Great location, spacious and clean apartment

The location is very central, next to the restaurants, shops and the lake. The apartment was very clean and spacious. There were high quality toletries in the bathroom and complimentary bottled water. The staff was very helpful and nice.

The apartment is quite dark, as all windows face small inner yards, so it wouldn’t be nice to spend time there during the day. But we arrived late at night and checked out in the morning, so it was a perfect stay for a family of 5.

Cosy place in city center

Very nice stay, in the city center, above Osteria. We had also 10% off at the restaurant. Good food! Rooms very big, with a small kitchen. The staff from Osteria helped us with everything. Will definitely come back! In love with Peschiera del Garda!

We have visited this place repeatedly after a year, that says it all. Satisfied with both the accommodation and the restaurant, it's like visiting old friends whom you always like to see and feel welcome.

Only small thing - too ambient light bulb in bathroom, it's hard to shave in the dark. :)

Nice and comfortable!

Very nice and comfortable place with a view over the lake! Everything was good except for the light in the rooms which was not sufficient! It is nice and cosy but when one needs to prepare for the day you could hardly see anything in the mirrors especially in a cloudy day.

Great apartment in top location

Nice apartment with comfy beds, top location with everything needed close by and lovely host. The restaurant below the apartment has fantastic food and the bar opposite the best croissants. There is a bakery and small supermarket around the corner. Our train arrived very early in the morning and left very late at night so we were very appreciative that we could check in a few hours early and store our luggage safely on the last day.

A kettle and a toaster would have been nice to have in the kitchen but everything else was perfect

Amazing discovery

Big apartment with lots of charm. The Osteria restaurant downstairs is fabulous for local flavours and the service is the best! This accommodation and town will become a family favourite for years to come.

A perfect apartment for couples who stay up/out late, but sadly not suitable for families.

Brilliant central location, very spacious and clean, huge bed with good quality bedding and towels, very friendly staff, water provided and offer of more.

NOISE. People from the bar opposite spilled into the street to smok, so they were chatting, shouting singing, laughing. It was so loud it felt as if they were in the same room, thus my son was in tears at 2am as he couldn’t sleep.
