The staff is so approachable, good ambiance and good location...

The room is clean but the bathroom and toilet need to be well maintained .

I was surprised at how comfortable this hostel was because the overall rating was a little under 9 when I was looking for places, but it was so well located with numerous restaurants nearby. It was a short walk to the Peace Museum and easy enough to get to Hiroshima Station. By taking a streetcar or dentetsu, the walk was about 3 minutes from the closest stop. There were plenty of washer/dryers, a cafe on the ground floor, a kitchen on the 4th floor, lots of information on cultural activities like calligraphy, local cafes and restaurants, and other places to visit. There was a fantastic and inexpensive shiatsu place nearby (Google "Rehabilitation Center" or walk around to look for massage signs) as well as acupuncture, and an onsen (but I think it was really a sento). Good shower heat and water pressure. Bed was surprisingly comfortable. Fresh towel every day. The dorm area had 2 luggage areas with hangers and shelves. It was easy to repack or store luggage there. AC was also nice. Each floor had a small fridge. Staff was very friendly and provided helpful recommendations. It was clean and modern with some community features like board games and origami. I was only in Hiroshima for 3 nights, but could have done more time there... there is more than the Peace Museum area and Miyajima. I also went to Rabbit Island and Onomichi (and was wiped out!). Plenty of opportunity to interact with other travelers, if desired.

The black out curtains are very dark, which is great for sleeping in late, but also so dark and comfortable, it was easy to oversleep and get a late start! Also, there are special slippers to wear on each floor, so if I had to go up and down to multiple floors, I carried my slippers with me so I wasn't using a different pair each time. I didn't want to use up 10 pairs of slippers in a day. It would be nice to have a few hooks on the wall above each bunk bed to store items nearby. Some of the hair dryers had floppy handles - I couldn't get them to stay open.

Perfect guesthouse! Very clean and smart guesthouse - everything is perfect. I stayed here for 3 nights and didn’t want to leave. It’s an easy 10 minute walk to the Peace Memorial Park, including the A-dome and Museum. It’s also very easy to get from the guesthouse to Miyajima (around an hour door to door). There’s a common area on the ground floor with some entertainment on some of the nights. The laundry, kitchen and bathroom facilities are all very good. Highly recommended.

Absolutely nothing!

Location was 15 walk from historical sites and 20 from shopping district. Convenient stores nearby. Bedlinen was clean and room/bathroom was clean. Perfect for one to two night stay.

Rooms very basic with no mirror and limited space. Small Bean bag pillows and short quilt.
