Authentic Thai Bungalow away from noise yet with all you need around

Tucked from main road in a quiet garden paradise, a proper thai bungalow - you wake up to light coming through entire house and birds singing- felt like absolute magic (even with early roosters)! Most likely I had budget bungalow but some others have much better spot in a garden and those bungalows look fantastic! As in budget bungalow, not much space to put your staff around but when you travel with luggage half unpacked is fine. Minutes away from 7/11, most delicious mango roti, fresh fruit market across the road, always busy mama dang restaurant and Long beach just near by. + and I always appreciate a chance to store my luggage safely before late check-in, thanks so much!

Only missed little🦎around. I noticed they may prefer white ceilings (my bungalow was all dark brown) then they are always around😅!!

Cute villa but hard mattress

Cute little house. The proximity of the beach. The ambiance is nice with green everywhere and chicken ... Corresponds to the pictures

The mattress was hard. Very uncomfortable, painful for the shoulders. Okay for 2- 3 nights but not more.

It was like being in the jungle

You get what you pay for, if you read the other reviews before booking you know what you’re getting yourself into, the mosquito net was good but make sure you bring bug spray as the bugs will be in the room, feels like you’re sleeping right in nature so if that’s your thing you’ll love it and only a short distance to the beach

The shower was not very warm however this is stated before booking, and some gaps are present in the bungalow allowing bugs and other critters to come into the bungalow, again very cheap accommodation so you get what you pay for, it did us alright for 2 nights however we were recovering from being on Koh phi phi so maybe this wasn’t the best place for relaxing as the roosters will wake you up very early in the morning, how ever we were aware of all these things at time of booking

Home away from home

I love this place, I've stayed here for a few years in a row now, and I'll always gladly come back. The owners/staff are super nice, the bungalow is huge, with a big, comfortable bed, the balcony overlooking the garden is super nice, the shower is pretty decent too, and there's a little fridge with daily water refills. Close to the beach and reasonably close to a good amount of food options. I also love that it's a traditional style wooden bungalow, instead of the soulless concrete that's everywhere nowadays.

There are a lot of roosters around, and they will make noise at random times during the night. In general, the wildlife can get pretty loud (no frogs this year, last year they were going mad), so bring earplugs if this bothers you. Since it's a wooden bungalow with a somewhat open bathroom (which I love), you can also expect some wildlife in your shower occasionally :)

Amazing place to stay and great value with incredible hosts

Exactly as described, perfect location, just down a road and you're away from a busy road which surprisingly you can't hear. Basic but clean and exactly as described. Owners are the nicest most helpful people and really can't do too much for you, really made our stay and helped with everything you could need including going out and getting breakfast items my son chose. Really can't say enough about how great our stay was and would recommend to anyone wanting a friendly, quiet clean base for their Stay x

Lovely all around

Just perfect. We loved everything about this place, the bungallow, the common area, the lovely hosts, the chickens and cats in the garden. Wonderful, peaceful vibes all around. Nice restaurants and bars around too. Make sure to rent a scooter if you want to explore the island though.

Wonderful hidden place with wonderful people

We had wonderful and relaxing 9 Nights. Noula & Norman and there Staff are very friendly, nice, helpful. Just great hosts. My husband gets sick and Norman drove us immediately to a doctor and we get a super room upgrade. Everything is clean and in good condition. I highly recommend this place. Yes there are roosters and chickens in the garden, but for that there are no other animals :-) We enjoyed watching into the garden. Thank you very much!

it was a clean spacious quiet bamboo hut. the accommodation is run by a nice family, yummy dinner (not included in the price)

Beautiful stay

The place is marvelous and we were captivated by the charm of the garden and its nature. Nola is a wonderful cook, the best on the island - Norman, her husband, is too modest! Great communication, very swift reply. The beach is a few minutes walk only.

There are many roosters in the garden that all start singing at the same time in the morning, it didn't bother my mother but I would recommend you bring ear plugs unless you want to wake up early!

liberty bungalow to escape Thai tourism but still be central near the beach

the bungalow with shower and hammock were wonderful. I enjoyed the comfy bed. it was cleaned every other day. staff was very friendly.

Wonderful place to relax and to feel at home

I felt right away at home. The garden is very big and beautiful, it gives you a very relaxing feeling specially laying in the hammock on the terrace and listening to nature sounds. The booked bungalow was big. Norman was very helpful and it was a great time watching the football world match with him, Nola and his friends. Nola is a great cook.

The weather wasn’t great when I stayed there so it was a little bit cold in the bungalow, but I got a second blanket which helped to stay warm.

My home away from home in koh Lanta

I booked one night because I didn't like my first accommodation and was a bit apprehensive as the pics where so lovely I was afraid to be disappointed... Well, I ended up staying for the hole week as this place is special and unique 😊 It's beyond "what you see is what you get!" You get way more! Nu and Norman really made me feel home and I wish I could have stayed for another week or more as they made everything they could to make me feel as comfortable as possible (they even had a ladder made for my bungalow) ❤ If you're going to Lanta and are willing for peace and quiet, this is the perfect place to be: you'll be surrounded by beauty, hospitality, great food (Nu is an amazing chef 👩‍🍳) and the beach is less than 5 minutes walking 😍😍😍 Thank you so much, guys, for a memorable stay 🙏 All the best, Rita

Cute and Comfortable

Really liked our cottage - it looked rustic but was very comfortable, spacious, clean, equipped with a good bathroom and also a floor fan to cool you off, It was walking distance from the Phra Ae Beach and also from all the essential stores and shops. We really liked our stay at Andaman Sunflower.

Exceptional

Small and cozy, traditional bamboo bungalows. Simply, but elegantly styled with a good mosquito net, very comfortable mattress (especially for Thai standards) and blanket. Cleaning services every day which keep the place very clean, although a few tiny animal visitors are to be expected with this kind of accommodation and shouldn't be a big deal (it's eco-friendly!). Beautiful garden with some very appreciated shade. Watched amazing sunsets on the beach every day, just a 3 minutes walk away. The hosts are so genuinely friendly and really care about your wellbeing, I felt very welcomed and was sad to leave after a week!

No critiques, but small suggestions. Could use another shelf or a wardrobe, especially for staying longer than a couple nights. And a water dispenser could help avoid all those plastic bottles.

Very good

The staff were really friendly and even booked some of our transport and activities. The bungalows are great value and have a really comfy bed and fan. The best thing by far was the hammock! I spent most of my time in that. The beach is only a short 3 minute walk away where there are bars and restaurants, but also the bungalow is near the main Street where there are slightly cheaper restaurants.

The small bungalows only have cold showers which is fine in the day but in the evening it's a bit cooler and a hot shower would be nice

Bungalow dans un beau jardin

Un bungalow en pleine nature , un jardin arboré. Et calme par rapport à la rue . Le rapport qualité prix. Accueil sympathique. Hamac et fauteuil a l'extérieur sont bien pratique. Le chant des coqs et des oiseaux est agréable. Des boules quiès sont nécessaires si l'on craint ces bruits. A noter que je ventilateur est suffisant si l'on ne craint pas trop la chaleur a l'intérieur du bungalow.

Il manque un petit meuble de rangement et des patères pour pendre les Habits et les serviettes. L'intérieur reste sombre malgré l'ampoule.

Le bungalow dans la nature

Hébergement difficile à trouver se trouvant derrière un hôtel, la chambre était salle, aucun équipement ni bouloir, ni sèche cheveux, lorsque j’ai demandé des serviettes propres et de nettoyer ma chambre on m’a dit que c’était impossible c’est révoltant! Zéro intimité comme il n’y aucune insonorisation c’est comme si vos voisins logeaient dans la même chambre que vous! Bruits des toilettes, de musiques et vidéos à fond toute la soirée et la nuit, … sans compter les animaux on ne sait aucunement se reposer, triste à dire au vue du prix qu’on paye! J’ai encore mieux dormi en hostel que la! De plus il n’y a pas d’eau chaude donc c’est insupportable de se laver et de même pour le savon et shampooing ils ne veulent pas vous donner plus d’un mini échantillon. Pas d’airco, une prise de courant pour toute la chambre. Il y a un restaurant à la reception Dans lequel il n’y a jamais un chat au vue des prix exorbitants, pour le prix de la chambre ils pourraient au moins inclurent le petit dej! Dommage que j’ai commencé mon séjour à koh lanta dans cet hôtel et heureusement que j’ai changé pour une hostel qui était 100000000x mieux pour 10x moins cher.

Andaman Sunflower

Wir hatten zwei Bungalowkategorien, beide top ausgestattet, groß, mit dem bequemsten Bett überhaupt, super Wasserdruck und Moskitonetz. Im Superior hatten wir sogar einen Kühlschrank. Nach all den Bewertungen waren wir sehr gespannt auf die Hähn, Fazit: für uns absolut nicht störend. Wir bekamen genug Schlaf und tagsüber ist es sehr unterhaltsam, dem Treiben zuzuschauen. Der Mopedverleih wird direkt an der Unterkunft organisiert. Trotz der Nähe zur Hauptstraße mit Restaurants, Laundry, 7/11 usw. hört man nichts vom Verkehr. Der nahe Strand ist leider nichts Besonderes, für eine rasche Abkühlung aber ausreichend. Norman und seine Frau sind hervorragende Gastgeber, wir fühlten uns sehr wohl. War schön, euch kennenzulernen. :)
