New & Sunny Apartment

Location was good. Not right in the thick of things but very near train so easy.

Just bare in mind it was September and very hot and there was only aircon in one room. This won’t matter at other times of year

This is a spacious and comfortable apartment. There is a nice terrace, though it does look over a busy and sometimes noisy road (the shutters keep the noise out at night). There is a convenient lift. The beds were comfy and two bathrooms is definitely an advantage. There is also a bath which I enjoyed. There is plenty of closet space in the bedrooms and the kitchen had a kettle (not always the case in apartments!) which was great for our morning cup of tea. There were plenty of bars and restaurants in the vicinity, as well as supermarkets. We wanted to avoid using public transport during Covid so walked everywhere. We managed to get to Glories, Arc de Triomphe, the Port, Diagonal, Eixample, La Sagrada Familia etc. all on foot, though in some cases it did take a while!

The kitchen tap was falling off and needs to be replaced. One bath towel per person is not enough, especially during a Covid pandemic when it is necessary to wash more often. Although strictly speaking there was hand wash and shower gel provided, there was only about an inch of each in each bottle so you will need to buy more.
