Casa Arrigo

Gorgeous location with wonderful breakfast. The pool was lovely and the room was clean.

The bed was very uncomfortable and we woke up with back pain every morning. There was a general lack of information from staff. It wasn't clear that the drinks in the mini fridge were not complimentary and were instead charged at 5 euros per drink. There were no signs to indicate this. We also found out through our own inquiries that the resort next door grants discounts to those staying at Casa Arrigo to use their spa. It would be good to inform guests of this upon arriving at Casa Arrigo.

Breakfast was really nice with some local products. Location wonderful on the mountain with view of Etna. Nice stroll through the vineyard. Very welcoming personnel. Because of issues with my flight in Catania I couldn’t arrive on the first day and they didn’t charge for that night. Very thoughtful. Great wine and olives!

Some small additions in the bathroom like a hanger for the towel could be nice

The room felt private and had a nice patio set to sit outside. The architecture and design of the room was interesting and felt historical in a good way.

There was a heat wave happening while we were there and the air conditioning did not do a sufficient job at keeping the room cool enough to be comfortable.

- comfortable bed - great shower and toiletries - beautiful view of Etna

- in our room there was a persistent ringing sound. I mentioned this and it turned out it was the heating for the entire property and so was expected. The response was to offer a free bottle of wine which we didn’t want. This needs resolving. We had to play background music all night but still had a poor night’s sleep - breakfast had some good options but was clearly recycled from previous day which meant the bread was stale - communication from property was poor. Several questions via booking app went unanswered
