If you’re sensitive to smoke or value transparency, I’d recommend staying elsewhere.
If you’re a smoker, this hostel might be great. But as a non-smoker, I was shocked—the entire common area reeked of cigarette smoke (smoking happens right by the entrance, and it drifts in) mixed with grease. This smell carried into the dorms, which had terrible ventilation. You can use earplugs for noise, but there’s no escaping the smell. I left without staying the night.
The staff were kind. The manager seemed helpful at first, saying he couldn’t process my €111 refund because it had to go through the booking platform. Later, I found out from a staff member and Agoda costumer service that he lied and refused to cancel my booking/ refund himself. I wouldn’t have minded a partial refund or an honest response, but being LIED to was sooo frustrating.
