Opus View

Very good breakfast, lots of options. The rooms in the apartment were large and comfortable. Close to Peles and the town of Sinaia. Nice views over the valley. Free parking.

No shower curtain. No eating utensils. We didn't mind the location being so far up the hill. If you have a car or take the bus it's fine. If you're walking it's a long way up.

There are many things to recommend this hotel. Firstly the view from the balcony it is wonderful. We stayed in an apartment overlooking the mountain. The room was spacious with a separate bedroom and living room and the usual tea/coffee making facilities, mini fridge and t/v. (Tip if you like 'English' tea bring your own tea bags as Romanians tend to drink green or fruit tea not Yorkshire) Breakfast was very good, with plenty of choice, toast, cheese, meat's, eggs, fruit, yoghurt, pastries ,and really nice coffee. It was replenished regularly. However if you are on a B@B deal PLEASE NOTE breakfast is taken in the sister hotel Opus Villa. It is only a short walk away about 200 meters BUT it is a very very steep climb and may not be suitable for people with mobility or breathing difficulties. The hotel is on the outskirts of town, about a 15 minute downhill walk, but again it is a very steep walk back. Fortunately Bolt taxi's are very cheap about 12 to 15 Ron (£2 to £2.80 ) from the town center to the hotel, and to Pele's castle, train station and Gondolier from the hotel. I think it was worth the taxi fare for the fabulous views. We even saw a female brown bear and her cub from our balcony. Guests at the hotel get a 10% discount voucher for their restaurant Opus Gardens. We ate there and the food was good and reasonably priced for Sinaia, which is much more expensive than the rest of Romania.

Good location, walking distance to Peles. The room was comfortable, the breakfast was great!

Everything was according to my expectations. Very good value for money.

The location and views are amazing.

The AC’s vent was broken, so was the shower handle, and also the trash bin in the toilet. This place needs to pay more attention and fix what’s broken.
