Location, it was super comfortable and a large room. The breakfast included was really good and there was a large selection. The room was also cleaned daily, giving us free towels and water.

It felt a little like a maze at the start - couldn’t find our room on a few occasions.

Good location and pools, but disappointing service and room quality for the price.

Great location near Walking Street, three nice pools with enough space, and friendly staff outside of reception.

The breakfast was very disappointing and not tasty at all — easily the worst breakfast we had throughout all of our destinations in Thailand. The quality, variety, and overall experience were far below expectations. We were given a standard room that was lacking in many basic amenities and felt poorly prepared for guests. There were maintenance issues in the bathroom, including problems with the toilet. Although these were fixed after we reported them, on the same day we requested room cleaning and it was never done. We did not even receive fresh towels. During one of the rainy days, water started leaking from the ceiling directly into our room. The hotel moved us to another room, but only for one night, and expected us to return to the same leaking room the following day. This felt unreasonable and unsafe. Only after we explained that it did not make sense to sleep there again and the staff realized that the repair would take longer, we were moved to a nearby room instead. The nearby room had both a bathtub and a shower, but unfortunately the bathtub was dirty, and there was a serious drainage issue in the shower. This caused a strong smell of stagnant water in the bathroom, which was very unpleasant. Luckily, we stayed in that room for only one night.

Bad.

The room was clearly not clean upon arrival and the housekeeping was very poor. The shower was clogged and water was stagnating, and a dirty cup remained in the room for several days without being cleaned. In addition, at check-out we called to have our luggage picked up, but it took more than an hour for someone to come, which was very inconvenient. Finally, the beach in front of the hotel is not great at all, full of seaweed, and the location is not as attractive as expected.

Fantastic resort

What a fantastic resort! When we arrived we were very kindly offered an upgrade to one of their brand new rooms, which we ended up declining because we loved the original one we'd booked (Tropical Villa Plus) and it was by far the best bungalow we've ever stayed in. The bed was comfortable, the air con worked perfectly, the bathroom was incredible and we loved the outdoor shower. The terrace overlooking the greenery was also a highlight and we couldn't get over the impeccable landscaping, it was truly beautiful. We even spotted some big lizards, geckos and of course, monkeys! The pools were also great, super peaceful and beautiful. The access to the beach was very handy. Absolutely everything about this place was perfect and we'd return in a heartbeat.

The only thing of note was the restaurant. The service was quite lacking and the food wasn't very good, which I didn't expect for a large resort. The staff were all very kind but I would definitely recommend some improvement on their training and the quality of the food. They don't serve alcohol as many other reviews mention but it really wasn't an issue, you can just buy some from a shop and drink it in the restaurant/pool/bungalow and they even offer you glasses and ice buckets.

Perfect location, great rooms and the hotel itself is embedded in the greenery of the peninsula which makes it also possible to see monkeys right infront of your door. Directly at the pier which makes arrival the easiest (especially with luggage

Location is amazing and good value for money!

The location is prime! Overall the resort is really beautiful and I would stay there again.

Overall maintenance is required. Our unit was fine for our stay but could use some freshening up around the resort itself. Pool 2 had some fungus on the sitting area and was generally not well kept. Additionally they should sign post their entrance at the back of the resort. Often the only entrance is via the beaches. When the tide comes up you have to wade through the water. Fine for young people but can imagine others travelling with children or elderly makes it not okay.

Great location, beautiful property, good value

The property was prime location with tons of fun things going on. The villa that we booked was clean and spacious. The value was wonderful. We stayed a whole week and not once did we run out of things to do. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and basic and got the job done.

Beautiful and relaxing stay in a perfect location with amazing staff!

Perfect location right on Railay Beach, surrounded by beautiful nature. The staff were all very kind and made me feel welcome. The transfer with car and longtail boat arranged by the resort was easy and comfortable. I look forward to visiting again when the opportunity arises.

The room was a bit "old" but had a relaxed charm. It would be nice to have some basic amenities like a toothbrush and toothpaste.

A very calm, beautiful and calm resort to stay

Hats off to Saman (Bell boy), friendly and helping us in many occasion. He guide us in finding the Tonsai beach location. The room was super clean and the ambiance was calm surrounded by beautiful nature and the location is strategy located near to the beach. The food was fine, we really love soooo much breakfast by the beach

Wouldn’t recommend.

Apart the staffs and location of the hotel, the rest wasn’t pleasant at all at least for us.

Hotel needs a lot of improvement. Terrible WIFI, blocked drains, no hot water, broken windows covered up with plastic panels, wonky tabs everywhere. Food was just ok ! I wouldn’t recommend.

A hotel in an experiential location

Railay Beach is a wonderful place, and the hotel is located between two beaches. The staff provides very kind service, and breakfast is simple but good. The hotel is set in a tropical location with plenty of fascinating wildlife such as monkeys, monitor lizards, and squirrels.

The hotel can only be reached by longtail boat. It is very difficult to carry suitcases along the entire pier and all the way to the hotel. On the way back, we booked a boat through the hotel reception, and a special tractor took us directly to the boat waiting in the water — much more convenient.

Lovely place to relax

The location and amenities were amazing. Beautiful gardens and access to pools, the beach, and a range of restaurants.

The broken barge and tow boat sitting derelict on the beach directly in front of the resort. The surface of pool 2 where the bubbles are located was rough, degraded, and needed repair.

A very relaxing and gorgeous stay. Highly recommend

Of course the wildlife had a huge part it making this so blissful for me. The monkeys came and visited every day. The place was clean and relaxing. All the staff were very kind and helpful, also the guy who dropped me to my room was a delight! Really put a smile on my face arriving and made me laugh a lot. Location is perfect. No complaints

The location was excellent, lot of wildlife within the resort grounds , villa was large and comfortable all though dated . Breakfast is but get there early .

Areas of the property currently getting renovated, the is a large stranded dump barge and tug boat right out the front of the resort , it appears this has been there for some time and is an environmental eyesore. The resort does not sell alcohol, but can buy and bring in .

We loved our stay in Railey beach and would return

Loved the vibe here. The location reaching from one beach to the other was great. Fab location. Interconnecting rooms for us and our teens worked well. Massive rooms. Fabulous comfy beds. Good air con if a bit loud. Loved pool 2. Saw lots of monkeys, monitor lizards, hornbills and a parrot! If we come to Railey beach again I’d be happy to stay here, but would choose one of the hut style rooms near pool 2. Breakfast was nice and plentiful. Friendly staff.

As others have said it was super tired in places and our room needed renovating. (Lots of renovation going on around the site!)The shower was old and dripped. Floor tiles were cracked, toilet stained and the pools as gorgeous as they were needed retiling in lots of places too. But it didn’t affect our enjoyment. Washing was extortionate! But we were desperate so had to do this. Later on the main street we saw we could have got our washing done for a few hundred bhat instead of 3 thousand. We stayed at a different 5 star hotel who had the choice of laundry with them - paying per item or with a local person paying 60 bhat per kilo. This is much fairer and I feel they should have informed us there were cheaper places to get this done. Finally, there’s a broken down trawler boat on the beach right in front of the restaurant interrupted the view of the beach. Looks like it isn’t going anywhere soon. Be aware as it’s quite a shock to see it on such a stunning beach!

It was great, excellent staff at every interaction, and a beautiful resort!

Breakfast was a variety of delicious food and eating next to the beach each morning was so lovely. The staff were so friendly and helpful with everything. Even had a golf cart take us to and from our room at check in and out. Plus being surrounded by jungle and cute monkeys was amazing!

Our room floor seemed to stay damp. I think it was only the type of floor (which was different in our bungalow) since other family members' room didn't have that problem.

Comfortable, great for families, pleasant staff and facilities

The staff is really polite, very helpful and professional. I would even say the staff is kind. Really enjoyed our stay. The proof being that we booked 3 nights and booked 4 more to extend our stay.

Nothing bad to write about the resort. It is not perfect off course but great value (stayed during low season)
