Hostel with positive vibes and excellent value for money

This hostel is a bit "special". Although not too welcoming at a first sight, it has for sure a big value! The atmosphere that comes out is positive, cheerful, relaxing,there are common areas that bring people together, trigger good discussions und fun. The guy leading the hostel takes care of your needs, just ask! I was with a friend in one of the upper double rooms: quiet, big, good beds, enough comfortable shower facilities, on top we had Netflix for the room TV, which tought for a good-price hostel means really a "luxus" :) The location of the hostel is as well awesome, can't be better, in the centre and perfectly set for skiing.

The general order and cleanliness can be improved, especially as far as the breakfast concerns. There are fresh products to cook breakfast, but the kitchen is small and definitely not welcoming. So I just not recommend breakfast

Dirty hostel in the perfect location for wintersport

The location of the property is perfect for wintersport vacation. it is walking distance from one of popular lifts in the region. and walking distance from city center. the staff is friendly and helpful.

The entrance although seems pleasant from the photo’s but in reality it is very dirty with duck feces everywhere. the kitchen is dirty we didn’t make use of the free breakfast. the shared bathrooms and toilets also not clean at all. our beds were made with clean linens bit the room was not cleaned often you can see spiderweb everywhere. we know it is not a hotel but hygiene is just a must. the price is very low for the location so I guess you get what you pay for. we do not mind less comfort but we expected proper hygiene.

great people, great place, great fun

Snowbunnys was a great experience, the combination of location and hostel experience made for a great trip. I met great people (including Dave, the host), which meant there was always something going on and people to ski with. I would recommend this unique experience for any solo or small group of travellers.

It was very central and a lot of young people in the house.

It was hard to prepare food because dishes were missing, appliances broken etc. In General it was difficult to do laundry or find clean towels.

Already booked to return in March 2023

Dave and Alex were extremely welcoming and full of local knowledge. The breakfast was perfect with fresh eggs from Dave's hens. If you are a duck, hen and bunny lover you are staying in the right place!! Bikes were available to use which was perfect to discover the sights. Photos attached are pictures from my balcony.

I asked for an invoice when booking. I also asked for it after using the booking. In total, I asked for an invoice three times. I received only one information about issuing a receipt, not the receipt itself. Our accountant will not accept this.

Bunnies at SnowBunnies

Good vibe, everything you need to store your ski gear and to relax and refresh after a day out on the mountain. Quiet in the evenings and not a party hostel. Great location! Easy walk to the slopes and centre of town for all the bars and restaurants. The staff and owner (Dave) were exceptionally helpful.

Superb

Booked for the funny name ;) its a cool place - and maybe the best in kitzbühel. nice people staff owner and the other guests - very relaxed. had a 2 bed room as single occupant so it was very calm and comfy and they even found a parking on property for my motorbike. a great surprise was breakfast with eggs from the chickens on the other side of the window - perfect tasty so it was a good start for the next day hiking all in all the impression was more a visit of friends at a student residence than a hotel stay

Exceptional

I grew deeply fond of this place, even over the single night I had stayed. And for too many good reasons. The owner David is a classic New Zealander. Looking like a nicer Jesus, he fights the losing battle with establishment and commercialism of Kitzbühel (~ currently one of the most expensive ski centres in Europe) with his gentle and loveable Kiwi humour, keeping the prices more than affordable and the spirit of the hostel friendly and welcoming for everybody open-minded. I enjoyed uncovering little shards of David's crazy life and absolutely loved the morning atmosphere when he released the ducks, chicks and bunnies (which is obviously Dave's hobby) to what's the last green courtyard in downtown Kitzbühel, while people relaxed around, cooked fresh eggs or talked about their travel plans. If you're not a snowflake and wanna support a real legend, stay here, you won't regret it.

Great place for those who want to travel cheap

Great value for money. The host is really nice, the hostel is located at the center of the town and there's a really big kitchen with everything you'll need. Plus, there are lots of ducks and chickens outside and their eggs are at the kitchen for the guests to eat. :) Highly recommended for those who want to travel cheap!

Of course it's not as sparkling clean as a hotel, but it's really fine for a backpackers hostel.

Very good

There were mountainbikes you could borrow for free. Also there is a free breakfest (included with duck eggs and chicken eggs from the garden). There are lots of books and tablegames you can use in the living room.

The rooster wakes you up in the morning, can be useful but not when you want to sleep a but longer.

Sorry, ganz ehrlich: niemals wieder.

Die Lage ist gut, Skigebiet und Altstadt und Gastronomie sind gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Das Gebäude sieht von außen ansprechend aus.

Ungepflegtes, abgewohntes Minizimmer, anders als in der Beschreibung bei der Buchung. Ohne Waschbecken. Minitoilette mit Microwaschbecken auf dem Flur, in mäßigen Hygienezustand. Treppenhaus eng, steil und natürlich ohne Aufzug. Direkt an der Wand im Zimmer wird das Abwasser deutlich hörbar abgeführt. Der Frühstücksraum hat die Lichtverhältnisse und die Anmutung eines Heizkellers. Muss man mögen. Das „Frühstück“ darf man sich selber bereiten, WENN man Geschirr findet (welches man besser vorher nochmal reinigt) und bei den dargebotenen Lebensmitteln etwas findet. Bei allem Verständnis - die gute Lage in Kitzbühel rechtfertigt den geforderten Preis beim sonst gebotenen leider überhaupt nicht.

Buena estadia

Por primera vez en el viaje nos recibieron hablando español. Para el desayuno dejan una variedad de productos interesantes y de buena calidad. El edificio es modesto pero como hostel está bien. Está muy cerca del centro. El acceso en tren desde Hahnenkamm es cómodo (9 minutos caminando con valijas)

La escalera no es cómoda. Solo para tener en cuenta: si se va en tren no bajar en la estación central porque está muy lejos
