Barranquero Hotel

My room was absolutely stunning, and I loved the creative design. Pola is an excellent cook, and I enjoyed the diverse breakfast + trout dinner & passionfruit drink. After I came back from my hike in Tayrona, she let me shower upstairs before my departure. Highly recommend! As others have mentioned, you do have to cross a river. It's easy with flip-flops, and the water feels refreshing on a hot day. If you have a suitcase, you can ask them to give you a quick jeep ride. They are very responsive and accommodating. Some bugs do get inside the room, but it's the jungle. Very immersive experience.

The room was wonderfully large watching the birds was a highlight as was the food

This was our favourite accommodation in Colombia! It’s a total paradise. The property is right beside a beautiful sandy river that you can cool off in and explore. The host also recommended some great rock pools that we could walk to nearby on really beautiful trails. The place has been created with such love and the gardens and decoration are beautiful. The hosts are so helpful and cook delicious food! Couldn’t recommend this spot more!

Good breakfast, quiet location and big room

No electricity when I arrived, the road to the property requires a river crossing so it’s a bit difficult to venture elsewhere.
