Mirador Puerto Alto

The staff was fantastic, from the friendly reception to the fantastic bartenders, the kitchen cooks, the maintenance staff and the housekeeping volunteers. The facility is comfortable and functional. The free breakfast was good, and the view breath-taking. I really enjoyed my stay and look forward to staying there again.

Not a lot to complain about, so I'm not sure.

The hostel buiding and area is very beautiful with amazing views. The pool is also incredible. The outdoor shower was also a great experience that I had not had before. Breakfast was great and the food in general was amazing. I want to say the staff was very welcoming and friendly to me and they made my time in Colombia special. Also want to note the bathroom was very clean.

Ok, the location is a bit of a hard hike uphill, so arriving, leaving, and coming back is hard. There is the option to pay for a mototaxi but it isn't feasible all the time for many reasons. I have a lot of hiking experience and I am in good shape and still found it difficult. However, the views were amazing making it worth it. The second thing, I am not sure if this is the hostel or the paraglyding crews fault, but I booked a paraglyding experience in advance (which was fun), but there was some issues. The pilot arrived pretty late, and it was not communicated that the ride back to the hostel would be an additional charge. The additional charge that was unexpected was an issue as there is very limited ATM use in the area and this makes cash hard to come by. It was only a 5 minute flight as well.

The view is stunning and the swimming pool is nice to refresh. Staff is very helpful and kind. You need to walk a uphill to go there but they provide motorcycles to do that also.

Puerto alto offer a great view, a swimming pool who is great.

The price are really high for the services who are offers, the staff really don’t fit with our expectations.
