Estay - Casa Béar

STRUTTURA PULITA, SPAZIOSA E CONFERTEVOLE. PERSONALE GENTILE E DISPONIBILE. OTTIMA LA POSIZIONE PER LA VISITA ALLA CITTA' E LA POSSIBILITA' DI PARCHEGGIARE ALL'INTERNO DELLA STRUTTURA.

Non avevo letto con attenzione i dettagli dell'annuncio (si chiedeva di andare a ritirare le chiavi presso gli uffici del gestore, piuttosto distanti dall'appartamento), ho chiesto la gentilezza di consegnarmi le chiavi presso l'indirizzo dell'alloggio e così è stato.

Penso che di norma le chiavi dovrebbero essere consegnate presso l'alloggio, anche tramite keybox o sistemi digitali, è la prima volta che viene utilizzata una prassi differente. Il gestore si è adoperato per venirmi incontro ma credo sia una modalità da cambiare.

The apartment is quite well located near Piazza Repubblica metro station. It is about a 15 minute walk to the central train station or to Piazza Yenne and there are buses and a taxi rank on the street outside. It was clean and spacious for four people - the second bathroom is great to have. The TV and aircon worked fine. We didn't cook so can't really comment on the kitchen facilities but it seemed well equipped, although there was no dishwashing liquid. There is a balcony which can be accessed from the bedrooms or bathroom and laundry facilities are located here. Conveniently, there are a number of bars / cafes as well as a little supermarket very close by. Staff on the ground was responsive and also agreed to meet us at the property with the keys, which was appreciated.

Management needs to consider/reconsider: 1/ alternative solutions for access to property. Making guests go to a second location to collect keys is inconvenient in so many ways. 2/ the onerous check-in form / accompanying insistent messaging / contract. I have stayed in 10 other different properties in various places in Italy in the last two years and have never been asked: - for more than a copy of ID documents. Estay sends a lengthy form requiring names/addresses/DOB be input for each individual as far as I recall - it kept freezing so eventually they uploaded the ID photos themselves - to sign a contract in respect of potential damages - to provide a security deposit in case of potential damages I received an excessive number of contacts via both Booking and WhatsApp in the days leading up to our stay, requesting confirmation of arrival time - this was asked and answered several times so I don't know if the responses were being received by the same person. Overall, this experience felt pressured and like hard work (the waste disposal system is a whole other story!) instead of a nice few days away. I didn't relax there and I certainly didn't feel like a valued customer. Wouldn't stay with this company again.
