The house is beautifully presented with a really great mix of old and modern features. It’s spacious, with high ceilings and great views. All the furnishings were really comfortable and very well maintained. We had our 18 month old with us and the house felt really safe for him too, he loved all the cute little pieces around the house (he was very sad to say “bye bye” to the doggie draft excluder, the fox doorstop and the metal rooster in the window!!). The house is a great place to stay for a family with lots to see and do in Connemara and Galway city nearby.
Jackie, our host, was incredibly responsive and made the check-in & out really easy for us. We would love to come back to stay again soon!

Ein sehr charmantes, liebevoll eingerichtetes Ferienhaus in großartiger Lage. In der Küche gibt es alles, was man braucht (z. B. genug Tassen und Teller). Tolle Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin von Beginn an, alles sehr gut organisiert. Gute Lage für Ausflüge im County Galway und Connemara und, obwohl unmittelbar an eine doch recht befahrene Landstraße grenzend, sehr ruhig. Wir waren außerhalb der Saison im Oktober da und hatten sogar verhältnismäßig gutes Wetter (trocken) und konnten viel unternehmen, haben die Landschaft genossen.
Ein bisschen schade fanden wir, dass man vom Haus aus keine längeren Spaziergänge machen kann. Man braucht unbedingt ein Auto.

Fantastic location. Quiet area but close enough to Oughterard village which has everything you need. Jackie was a great host with excellent communication. The house itself is very comfortable and a delight to return to after a day exploring Connemara and beyond. If you happen to be staying when the sky is clear at night do yourself a favour and go outside and have a look. Great dark sky star gazing. We will return!
