Peaceful country home, spacious and warm, family friendly

Wonderful property. Everything we needed. Perfect for a family getaway.

A lovely and spacious home. We comfortably fit 7 people! The location was perfect for us to explore the Cliffs of Moher, Kylemore Abbey and Galway. The lakes nearby would be lovely to visit as well.

Our stay was really nice. Make sure you navigate to the exact coordinates provided by the host on Google maps. Attempting to navigate to the address will take you about 1/2 a mile (1km) away. There are few extra amenities at the house. Towels were in very short supply, and one had a hard spot on it. There were no washcloths. There were very few cleaning materials. There was no soap or shampoo provide. We had to read the book carefully and do the work, and wait, to have enough hot water for a family of 5. It wasn't a lot of extra, but the expectation should be that you don't have to do anything extra to be comfortable in the large house you booked for your family. Other things that could have added extra warmth and a homey feeling were also missing. There were no books, games, extra blankets, or extra pillows. The house was really nice, but met only the minimum standard for guest comfort.

This home was a split for us. So much was right! And a few things that just made it challenging. Pros : Comfortable accomidated 8 people (4 adults 4 kids) Kids loved the trampoline Close drive to cute towns Quiet and peaceful area Beds were comfortable Has a dryer! So grateful for this! Cons The bugs. Shen we arrived there were no less than 40 fruit flies in one window. We had to make mixture to trap them with vinegar and soap. Placed about 6 of them down stairs alone. After this, bleaching the counters, trash and disposal they did disapate by day 2, but then the others did not. We took photos and videoed all the way to the living rooms just PILES of flies/ngats/mesquitos etc. When we asked the host the reply was simple that it was the country. Ehich felt a little.condisending aa weve been doing country stays on our whole vacation without this level of issue. Could add a warmth by simple having a few more towels. The commucation delay the from host was a bit of a turn off. Could use a bit more of a cleaning. For the bugs, the smell, and knobs in the kitchen had a later of dust, the dises that wete back in the cubbords had debres on them.
