Large room, couch and coffee table and easy chair available. Well equipped bathroom. Central heating available which was great at the end of October. Good working WiFi. Ample free of charge parking available. Excellent breakfast.
Unfortunately the bed pillows were too soft FOR ME. Also the spare pillows in the closet were soft. Suggest to put harder pillows in the closet as spare.

breakfast was fine, room was big, but not a lot of isolation from noise.

Large room. Accepts dogs. Price was ok.
Tried to call for a week during business hours and no one answered phones. No one answered booking.com questions until the day of arrival.
Broken toilet seat. Broken shower fixture. The bed was large but uncomfortable (personal)
The room is above the bar. Noisy outdoor terrace until closing. (Just be aware)
The room was warm. It's August and there is no air conditioning and no fan. Windows opened and cooled down after 11pm or so. Windows open because of the heat and people on the terrace no sleep or watching TV until they closed.
Slept ok until the staff arrived at 6am and proceeded to chat loudly, drag boxes and containers past the guests rooms outside, shred boxes in front of open sleeping guests windows, chat loudly with passersby. Then more chores and loud talking in the terrace area. Basically don't expect to sleep past 6am.
Last comment, this just happened. We arrived yesterday and asked what time was breakfast. We were told until 10:30am. We walked the dog and packed and arrived at 10am. A gentleman came and told us they were closed. He didn't speak English and we tried.to explain what his colleague at the bar told us. "But we want to go home" so we rushed for breakfast and took some yogurt with us. In and out in 12 min. "Oh that was fast", he said. Yeah we know. We had no choice.
Oh yeah, the restaurant was closed as the only chef was on holiday. Hopefully he didn't stay here. I almost changed to review to five stars but the breakfast thing made me lose compassion in the end. It's clear people are working hard but this is not good. From what I understand the owner is on holiday maybe your experience will be better. Good luck.

Enjoyed my stay a lot, spacious appartment, good price/quality, nice restaurant attached for a good breakfast and delicious dinner. Space for my motor in the cellar, recommend this Gasthof!

Great place when you want to discover excellent Mosel wines, not far from the historic city of Trier that is worth visiting. Small family hotel with the restaurant, the owner has his own wines and sells it for very reasonable prices. Clean rooms. Friendly service. The evening menu in the restaurant is rather basic, but you will be compensated by fabulous Riesling wines, not only dry, but also semi-dry and sweet. Great breakfast. Parking opposite the hotel across the street.
There was no real double bed, but two beds with a wooden frame put together.

ligging t.o.v. Trier ; pricing and restaurant in one place
Nearby church (50mtr) rings his bells everyday at 06hr for 5min long continues ! (Which woke us up every morning!)
TV in sitting room (very nice LG widescreen) has too low signal why several channels didn’t work properly (blocks in picture).
TV in sleeping room even worser, hardly any channel worked.

The guest house was very good with nice staff. The room was spacious but with a little cold floor at the beginning of March. There was a kettle and a small fridge. The breakfast was excellent and they served us with the desired special diet.

The family and staff helped us pretty well, also by phone because of the limited opening times of the accommodation (between 15:00 - 00:00 pm) The apartment at the top level was exciting for 6 persons and the view from the balcony outstanding. The apartment covers plenty of space with a living room, separate kitchen with dining space, doorway and spacious sleeping rooms (3) Also the bathroom was well equipped with a bath and separate shower. The restaurant offers good food for reasonable prices, besides you can order breakfast, order a drink at the bar and buy local wine at the accommodation. Mehring is a small village with a couple of restaurants and a little supermarket on a strategic location between Mosel hotspots Bernkastel-Kues and Trier. It is close to the beautiful river and there are plenty of wine shops around. Mehring covers an ancient roman villa and an old catholic church.
The interior and furniture are outdated, but this is common at the German countryside and not really disturbing. The third sleeping room has old matresses and thin pillows. If you are disabled you have to count with four little stairs you have to take for the appartment. Check out is pretty early at 10 am. Breakfast is between 7:30 and 9:30 am. At 6 am we were awakened by the church priest who was ringing the church bells close to the accommodation.

Very outdated, dark, nothing cozy or welcoming. Maybe okay for a night but definitely not for longer.

Excellent evening meal menu with good service. Superb breakfast buffet also.
The sliding glass door on the en-suite bathroom was very stiff and not easy to close/open. This was mentioned to the owner at the time.

Exceptionally clean. Attentive staff.
Room was on ground floor immediately next to the cafe, and the only windows opened onto the cafe with tables just a few feet away. We needed to keep the windows fully closed to have any privacy, which made the room very dark and also warm, since there was no air conditioning or fans in the room. A fan would have been appreciated.

Room
We booked two rooms and requested a bigger room to accomodate me and my children. We got a three bedroom appartment with a nice view and lots of space.
Breakfast
The breakfast was very good with freshly cooked bacon and eggs, a variety of bread as well as assorted cold cuts. Very delicious breakfast

Breakfast is very nice, offering a good variety of food, the room was exceptionally clean, and the staff was friendly.
The bells of the church and the gardener who was working downstairs woke us up early in the morning. But other than that everything was very nice!

Spacy and nice apartment on the second floor. Big rooms, comfortable beds. Excellent breakfast. Storage for bikes. Owners available on side if needed.
Need to fix lighting, a lot of led light bulbs are gone, so it is too dark at the evening.

The apartment is very good, with all necessary for comfortabil stay.
The staff charged me second time for my stay in the hotel. First payment was done directly to Booking.com. After discussion with booking customer service, the hotel staff told that they didn't received any message from customer service. Customer service called directly to the hotel, but hotel staff reply that they don't speak English. Refund of the money took a lot of my nerves.

Breakfast was really good and the lady serving it was the most kindly. The room was big, warm and clean, bed was comfortable. Internet was free and worked well. The friendly owner speaks very good English. Private car parking just at the door. The ground floor studio was perfect with a dog. There is a long walking route along the riverside. The area must be very beautiful in summer. The village is full of wonderfull wineries, but most of them were closed. We followed the signs Lena, the Köningen of Weingut Endelsfelder and found the best rieslings we've ever tasted! And there was Lena herself serving hot wine just front of the house. She's lovely.
Because of the off season and corona restrictions it was impossible to find a place to eat. We found the nearest supermarket after driving 7 kms. The kitchen was very modest for self catering.
