It's an older house with a nice cozy atmosphere. The owner is very kind and speaks english. That's a major plus for international customers! The AC blows cold air so the room was comfortable, even in the relatively hot spring weather. I stayed for a month and the price is very competitive.
We had some experiences with cockroaches of varying sizes. Cannot fault anyone for it, as they is very common Japan, but they're not the nicest of roommates. Also, the entrance can be a bit difficult to find. It's through a narrow corridor behind the building.

Noise. This is on a busy street. You really need earplugs and some white noise to get through the night or not be light sleeper

The location and the nearby laundry. The accommodation is simple but has everything you need. It is well equipped, even with a hair straightener and a hairdryer.
The accommodation was somewhat dirty. Guests were required to walk without outdoor shoes in the common areas, but the floor was not clean. There was hair in the shower drain. During our stay, there was no maintenance and no host present. The entrance door opens onto the back of a bridge in a lonely alley and was always unlocked, which probably allowed a cockroach to get into the room (I found it next to my suitcase). Also, the fridge in the room smelled bad.
