About this house rental

The house has just been restored respecting the style. It has two large double bedrooms, one with two beds. An additional sofa bed in the living room brings the number of beds to a total of 8. Ideal for 6, has a spacious bathroom with shower and washing machine. Large kitchen with gas 6 burners, oven, fridge freezer and microwave.
Equipped with everything you need: dishes, cookware, linens, towels, iron, small household appliances.
The historical park of 5. 000 square meters has a large above ground swimming pool, bowling alley, soccer field, table tennis, barbecue, relaxing area and the area of farm animals.
Bicycles are free for guests to explore the surroundings of beautiful bike paths that reach the lake allowing paths of varying difficulty.
Despite being isolated from the ancient walls the house is in the center of the small village of medieval origin of Zandobbio, with bank, post office, pharmacy, church, supermarket, two restaurants and swimming pool and fitness center all within a few minutes walk.
Guests' cars can be admitted inside, in a special parking. And 'possible use of accompanying services, laundry and pizza delivery.

We spent one week holiday with two small children and we all were impressed. The atmosphere was uniquely calm and warm. The fenced garden, which seems more like the park of a castle is fantastic and offers everything you could wish for as an adult and as a child. We could have spent the entire week on the property. The children loved the goats and the donkey and the gigantic space to move. But you should also explore the beautiful area. For example Bergamo and the cable car ride to the upper town or the public swimming pool in Palazzolo.The apartment itself has high ceilings, is clean and very charmingly furnished. All the people we met were extraordinarily friendly and helpful. We felt very welcome which is not self-evident with two awake little boys. It is recommended to bring mosquito repellent.Thank you, Roberto, for this wonderful experience.

It was a lovely stay, very responsive host. You’re in one of the apartments of the palazzo, the host lives on site as well, and one half of the palazzo is used as an b&b, private use of the huge garden. Very helpful host, everything there for a comfortable stay, cute donkey and goats on property - thank you very much!

The apartment and town are beautiful, and Roberto was a pleasure to meet and was quite helpful. FYI: Be sure to check out the bakery that you will find on Via Fratelli Calvi, just outside the large wooden doors of the east wall. But they're only open in the morning until noon.

We enjoyed the stay very much. The property, apartment and house are top maintained and the owners on site very nice. Everything you need is available. For teenagers, the offer is somewhat limited due to the size of the place, but there was fortunately a nice big pool, soccer goals, ping pong table and bocce court. But you can also do a lot in the area (Milan, Bergamo, lakes etc..) Our dog also found it great - running without a leash no problem even if now and then cats were there; the house dog was also very friendly.

After our wonderful 2 weeks at Roberto's place last year, we really wanted to go back there. And we were not disappointed! Everything was still like in our memories: a true Italian paradise. This year was really hot so we chose to visit the cities (Milano, Bergamo) early in the morning or at night. We spent the mornings exploring some more natural treasures (Iseo Lake, the mountains, Val Vertova, we highly recommend!!) where it was fresh, and the afternoons enjoying the fantastic pool in the garden. Roberto and his family were again great hosts, very kind and discreet, and always available for some advice. We enjoyed the fresh eggs every morning and the delicious tomatoes from the garden. The apartment is really well equipped, you only need to take your clothes, sun cream and bathing suits! Even in the kitchen you will find a lot of stuff, from sugar, salt and spices to coffee and olive oil... It will make your arrival very easy.

We had very nice holidays in Casa Valila in Zandobbio. The house is very complete and has a great garden with lots of facilities. A nice starting point for hiking or a swim in Lake Iseo or for city trips.

It was our first family holiday in Italy and we had a great first Italian experience at Roberto’s house. Roberto is a friendly and very good host. Very easy to communicate with. It was very spacious, clean and everything we needed was there: enough towels, enough plates, cups and glasses, a good working oven and bbq, washing machine and dishwasher. The garden was amazing! It seemed like a park! The pool was even bigger than we thought, the kids loved it. We enjoyed the eggs from the chickens and we loved the tomatoes from the garden. It is very easy to go to different places like the lakes or cities in the area. We had very good pizzas at restaurant Borgo dei Cigni at Lago di Endine (only 15 min drive!)

Our stay at the beautiful house in Zandobbio was absolutely perfect! Roberto, our host, was wonderful - he was attentive, caring and quick to communicate with us throughout our stay. The house itself was very comfortable and we felt right at home. We especially loved the beautiful park surrounding the property, which even had some lovely animals like Diego the Donkey! The location was ideal for us, as we were able to easily make day trips to Bergamo, Brescia, Milan and Lago d'Iseo/Monte Isola. Overall, we had an amazing time and would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing and convenient getaway. Thanks again to Roberto for making our stay so enjoyable!

We stayed 15 days in Zandobbio with our 3 kids and it was really a pleasure. Garden is perfect (surrounded by walls all over) and situated in the centre of Zandobbio, with all kinds of places to play or to rest. Kids loved the pool, the animals and bikes at disposal. Bakery is over the street (10m max, yes ten), supermercato 200m away. Roberto was really attentive to our needs and gave advices to visit around for the next 3 months… The washing dishes machine is now new as the old one broke during our stay, and was renewed within 3 days by Roberto. Pool was cleaned and refilled every day. You can eat the fruits or vegetables from the garden as you need, also the eggs. The apartment is like on the pictures and description. Just a perfect stay. Thank you Roberto & family!

We spend a week in Zandobbio: a beautiful house in an even more beautiful garden with many different places to sit, eat, relax, and read in the shade. We enjoyed all those romantic hidden places a lot. The house is very well equipped and comfortable. Bergamo, Verona, Cremona are all very close if you feel like sightseeing. We also went to Monte Isola for a swim, we rented a bike to tour the island, searching for hidden beaches. Very nice trip! Roberto and his family are very kind and helpful. We recommend the house to everyone, also with children. Thanks for your hospitality.

We stayed in this wonderful place for a week in early April, two adults with two boys (12 and 14 years). The apartment is large and comfortable, the garden secure and welcoming, the owners very nice and helpful, and we never missed a thing. The pictures in the add gives a correct impression of what the place is like. We borrowed bikes from the family, and went to Lago di Éndine. It’s not too far, bike roads most of the way – and if you’re not sick of pedalling when you reach the lake, you can hire a pedal boat (our youngest insisted we did so…). We also visited Bergamo, and went to the top of Monte Isola in Lago d’Iseo - both trips highly recommendable. Thanks for the stay!

Before arrival we were not expecting such a large place. The landhouse with it 's own garden had a lot of space for our kids to play. But also inside next to the 2 bedrooms, the large kichen + livingroom, there was another room. The bakery is just outside the gate and there even were bikes to tour with. We really enjoyed our stay.

This was the perfect option for our one-week girls trip! The garden is HUGE, the pool is wonderful and the apartment is big as well. There's fruit trees and a vegetable garden and we got to eat fresh eggs from the chicken for breakfast. Zandobbio is a charming little town where you will find a couple of cafes, supermarket and pizzeria within walking distance. Wir verbrachten eine Woche in diesem wunderschönen Palazzo. Die Wohnung ist sauber, gemütlich und sehr gut ausgestattet! Der Garten ist riesig, mit großem Pool, Tischtennis, Bocciaplatz und ein kleiner Streichelzoo mit Ziegen und Hühnern. Robertos kleiner Hund ist unglaublich süß und liebte es mit unserem Hund Stella zu spielen. Der Iseosee mit seiner schönen Insel ist ca. 30 min. entfernt und gleicht sehr dem Gardasee, nur ohne dem Touristenrummel. Danke Roberto für deine gute Gastfreundschaft und deine warmherzige Aufnahme!

We stayed 10 days in Zandobbio in this beautiful, large and very comfortable apartment, which is part of a 200+ year old Palazzo, and enjoyed it very much. The apartment is exactly as described and provides all one needs. The large park, surrounded by walls, gives the feeling of being alone in the middle of the small town of Zandobbio. Lago di Endine and Lago d'Iseo are not far away and great places to spend the day. Or one can simply stay "at home" and enjoy the pool, the garden, pick fruits from the many fruit trees, or tomatoes, and simply relax. Thanks a lot, Roberto, for the really wonderful stay! We all (including the dog) enjoyed it very much!

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt bei Roberto und seiner Familie! Es hat an nichts gefehlt. Das Haus, der Garten lässt einen wie in eine andere Welt versetzt fühlen. Lieber Roberto, vielen Dank für den angenehmen Aufenthalt. Ein wundervolles, altes Objekt, mit viel Liebe gepflegt und erhalten. Die interessante Geschichte des Hauses reicht bis in das 18. Jahrhundert zurück. Zandobbio ist ein empfehlenswerter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge, zum Beispiel an die bekannten Seen oder die vielen schönen alten Städte und Dörfer. L'appartamento è molto bello, arredato con cura e spazioso. Fornito con utensili, coperte, asciugamani. Il proprietario è gentilissimo e molto disponibile. L'appartamento si trova in una villa d'epoca con un grandissimo parco in cui si possono lasciare i cani liberi. Vicino alla casa ci sono tante località di lago e di montagna dove fare belle passeggiate! Consigliato!! Grazie a Roberto per l'accoglienza!!

The house is very clean, very beautiful, very spacious and very cozy... and the garden, more a park, around is overwhelming! We played Badminton, Pétanque, Pingpong, lying in the sun and drinking Spritz :-)- unfortunately it was already too fresh to use the pool for the kids. A visit to Bergamo, close by was wonderful too. Zandobbio as a village is not very interesting, touristically, but inside the property you are in your own world. And Roberto of the owner family is very welcoming and warmhearted - thank you so very much, we felt at home after minutes!!!

eine wunderschöne, sehr gemütliche und geschmackvolle Wohnung in dem herrlichen Palazzo. Der parkähnliche Garten ist ein Traum besonders für unseren Hund der sich frei bewegen konnte. Herr Rieva und seine Familie sind ausgesucht herzlich und hilfsbereit. Tolle Gegend und das Nachbarstädtchen Trescore ist sehr ansprechend. Die Seeen und unmittelbaren Wanderwege sind auch herrlich. Tolle Gastronomie und Weine. Insgesamt war es ein sehr erholsamer Aufenthalt mit sehr netten Eindrücken in einer serh schönen Gegend. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall dieses Jahr nochmals dort vorbei.

We (family, 2 kids) had a brillant week at La Casa Valila. The location is just perfect for families, with its huge garden hidden safely behind the centuries-old walls of the old residenza. Yet it is central, in the little town of Zandobbio itself, but also for excursions to Bergamo, Cremona, Lago di Garda, Lago d'Ideo or Milan. Only topped by a welcoming and helpful landlord.
