Nice relaxing stay and just the ticket

Exactly what we wanted. The hot tub was our highlight despite the inclement weather. Off the beaten track which was nice.

Small thing - not enough towels. Would have taken our own if we’d known. Also we were surprised to see one of the staff at the property on our departure day at 8am when we were having breakfast

Lovely lodge with great surroundings

The lodge was super clean. It had everything we needed for our three night stay. It was cosy and comfortable. It felt super private as you are enclosed by a fence all the way around. The hot tub was amazing and relaxing. It is in a great location close to shops and restaurants. Loads of local walks and nature reserves. Great place for just relaxation.

The shower drain didn’t drain very well. The sofa wasn’t super comfortable. We felt the TV would’ve been better in the bedroom.

I liked everything it was so cozy and comfortable I didn't want to come home the only thing I would say is it would be better if there was a shelter over the hot tub even just a parasol with the option to open it out if it starts raining as if its raining badly you don't really get the use out of it I was very lucky that the weather was good though. Love the views looking out onto the farm and over onto the sheep lovely little place very peaceful and calming would deffo go back .

Euan & Lizzie were very welcoming. We were surprised how private it was, even with 2 other cabins adjacent (they're individually fenced off). The cabin was really clean and beautifully decorated.

Great break

The directions were accurate was easy to find. Plenty of parking outside the cabin. We arrived late afternoon and quickly relised you let yourself in as the keys were in the door and it was open slightly. The views were amazing looking over the fields we were lucky to have really good weather as well. The Hot Tub was really good perfect temperture and lots of space.

The custard creams were delicious. Dishwasher tabs were included- thank you. Good kitchen facilities- cooker, microwave etc Facilities to wash laundry if needed Hot tub Privacy

A few standard essentials would be welcome- salt and pepper, oil. Or the option to purchase a welcome hamper? A sponge for washing up would be helpful too as the dishwasher isn't always needed Tv placed a little too high on the wall had to really relax down into the sofa so as to not strain neck! No bedroom storage- some hooks on the wall but that was is.

Clearer signage upon arrival... didn't know that Jack's Hideaway was classed as a 'snug' so drove past, rang a number and left a message but found it on our own, in the end.This is just a small issue,however.Some problems with Wi-fi -which owner was keen to help solve.

The property was comfortable, clean and very nicely presented. The hot tub was a great addition.

on arrival our hot tub hadn’t been turned on due to an electricity trip. this meant we didn’t get full use of the facility till the 2nd night of our 2 night stay, which was quite disappointing

Jacks Hideaway

Me & my boyfriend stayed in Jacks Hideaway for 2 nights for my 30th birthday. The little snug was absolutely gorgeous, quite private as well with a lovely view. The snug was spotless, was so clean and cosy, bed was comfy as well. We totally enjoyed our stay and we will be back for sure. Some lovely scenery just only a short drive away. Could maybe do with couple extra oven trays and maybe some tea towels but everything else that was needed was there, plenty wine glasses, champagne glasses etc. There was only 1 toilet rolls for 2 nights so maybe another roll of toilet roll but honestly that is literally it. We never checked the fridge and it was set quite low, it wasn’t till the Sunday morning I realised and turned it back up at bit. My fault completely but just a little tip for future holidaymakers. Staff were so lovely, they let us have a late check out on the Sunday which was so lovely we had time for some breakfast and a chill in the hot tub before we left- that was much appreciated, we also had a burst tyre so turned back to see if they had a pump as to which they did and went away to get it straight away. So friendly and accommodating. Can’t wait to come back.

Exactly what we wanted and as described but could do with minor tweaks.

Location was peaceful and relaxing. Accommodation was exactly as described. Hot tub was hot and ready for use on arrival. Fresh flowers and biscuits to welcome us. The best WiFi we've ever experienced in holiday accommodation too. Red kites flying around during the day, bunnies running around at dusk. No light pollution, so starry Nights took on a whole new meaning. Looking up at the Milky-Way whilst relaxing in a hot tub is awesome. Never needed to leave accommodation all weekend.

The microwave was too small to fit the dinner plates provided. There is a full size hob in the kitchen but only one regular sized pot provided (there was a massive soup pot and frying pan too) but if you want to cook potatoes and a veg at the same time... Due to Covid & extra cleaning required our check out time was 9am (normally would be 10am) but owners were round at 8:15 draining our hot tub, so option of having one last dip were taken away from you.

Great week in sunny Scotland in Jacks Hideaway.

Loved the location of Jacks Hideaway, great for exploring the local area. Very clean and comfortable. Lots of hot water, furnishings tasteful and very warm/cosy. Hot tub was an added bonus, very private and great views of the countryside. Warm welcome from host. Definitely will return ........

Excellent stay in lovely accommodation and scenic rural location.

Our stay at jack’s hideaway was lovely. The accommodation was well equipped and cleaned to an extremely high standard with a homely feel and well distanced from the other accommodation, wouldn’t even think you had neighbours. Excellent rural location with plenty to do within a short drive. Hosts were more than helpful with any issues and providing information via info book in the accomodation as they were not being able to meet and greet due to COVID-19 guidance. We would definitely stay again.
